well, maybe i'm not really into "begging the mods to be released early" or even "can i be ur beta tester". I mean cmon guys, maybe we're all impatient but please don't make yourself the whole circus. Fix them attitude and a good ol' support for the mod maker. Sure i'm not preventing you to write or request or do anything, but at least don't make the modder lose their interest.
We all know that asking to be a beta tester is a excuse to get it early and/or leak it onto Ivan sites
Sure it is. That's why a lot of mod creator either making the mods private, and cancelling it because literally all they do is making a new account, go to the forums, do some trash talking and saying sorry because a newbie, and keep asking for early release. Even i'm not making anything but i was annoyed with them
since 2016 so many mods got cancelled like that most of the time yes. But sometimes it just honest beta tester works
Kinda sad to see what this community has come to jsz himself said this on discord, and i think many others would agree with him I think the majority of Beamng player base is kids that come from scammy beamng youtube videos thinking the game is just about crashing cars and consider meshslaps as good quality which is kinda killing the community
keep also in mind that ppl who complain about meshslap use them for exemple that classicmike guy that keep raging on everyone legit 50% of community screen post is him fighting a other guy until nick arrive
Some clickbait youtubers even promote Russian meshslaps, or even worse, reupload mods to them, both repo/forum mods and private ones, without crediting the authors. I hate that. Also, one thing is using a private mod once or twice per video just so you can put it on the thumbnail and get views, another is spamming the whole video with trash meshlaps and unfinished stolen mods making kids think they are good. It may seem weird but in this case clickbait is actually better than non-clickbait. Unless someone uses only forum and repo mods, but that's rare because videos like this don't get many views.
I'm pretty sure whybeare is like the only big youtuber that doesn't promote meshslaps and russian websites.
BeamNG-Fun too, although he does use private mods, but they are just fixed versions of broken repo/forum mods. Neilogical used to be so much anti-meshslap but now he uses them himself. CrashBoomPunk uses private mods but not Russian ones. CrashTherapy just takes any mod and edits it however he wants without crediting anyone so I guess that counts as private mods. So yeah WhyBeAre is pretty much the only one to use just repo and forum mods. Edit: Forgot about FailRace but he's not exclusively a BeamNG youtuber.
Also, those crash vid youtubers using meshslaps seems quite ironic to me They try to show the physics of the game but instead of using good mods or official vehicles, they end up using the mods with the worst deformation OT, sad to see this go, but the author's decision is perfectly understandable
Don't you have the mod yourself? since you and some other people beta test pretty much everything JsZ makes in a discord server or something? Lol
