If I upload an older version of beamng (0.4.2.0), will I get Struck By the banhammer?
(I don't know if this is the right thread)

it'd be cool if legacy versions of the game were readily available, but it'd cause tons of piracy issues

You know what would have been cool? If like somehow older versions of a game could still interact with the newer versions, just it would like, look different. Because I am fucking fed up with over 30+ LEGENDARY mods being outdated just because "oH fOr ThIs BeAm UpdAtE wE uPdAtEd thE suNbuRst prOporTionS."

i mean, they are readily available. you just have to know where to look. or back up your game files. there's no DRM.

If they want to make the game better of course they'll have to make sacrifices. Modders can either choose to update their mods or not, it's entirely up to them.
The dev team doesn't have anything to do with mods getting outdated. Imho it's the modder's responsibility to keep them up to date or not.

Yeah your right, at least we have some people that make smaller hotfixes for the mods.

I guess that's the closest to getting it. I am gonna reinstall that, at least for now.

You can get versions 0.4, 0.14, and 0.16 through the steam betas tab.
