I'd say that instead of one model, it'd be better to have more - like how British Leyland had the Morris, Austin and Wolseley 1800/2200, Ford had the Zephyr, Zodiac and Executive (and later Consul and Granada), Vauxhall had the Victor and Ventora, and Cresta and Viscount, and Rootes Group had the Hillman Hunter/Singer Gazelle/Singer Vogue/Humber Sceptre and Humber Hawk/Super Snipe/Imperial ranges. Also a V6 would be a better choice for the high-end trims than an I4. Although if this is meant to be a Chrysler 160/180/2-Litre-style "one last shot" car, then one model and one engine seem appropriate.
May think of something. But do you see Doyler as one brand in a group, or an individual automaker? Because in the latter case just some changed trim would be enough, like in the Vauxhall Victor to Ventora. However, in the former case multiple brands would be advised (but not necessary - see Rootes' big cars, which all were Humbers, and the Chrysler 160/180/2-Litre range).
I have thought it was on of the brands in group(no name in this time but it will be set in further mod releases).
So I guess more versions would be necessary. --- Post updated --- I have the idea of a cheaper, simpler Austin/Morris/Hillman style car with the 1.6 to 2.2 engines, a 1.8/2.2/2.5 slighty upmarket Wolseley/Singer-level car, and maybe a Vanden Plas/Humber-style upmarket 2.2/2.5 version.
My fronts did work, but were so inadequate that they couldn't stop the automatic car from going into crawl, and even with all brakes on the 1600 took a whopping 96 metres to stop from 100 km/h. The better-braked version have another problem - skidding. The 2500 can be stopped in 50m, but only in the rare cases where it doesn't spin out.
Stuff I've mentioned in my review: The textures: Trunk doesn't match the sides: That long weird hole (I guess it's a weird looking lock): The lettering not being connected: (and the numberplate) I still love it!
How funny! I see this car a mere second after finishing watching a 60s video on an Austin. I think my Grandfather might recognise some aspects of this car. Thanks for this. Cars like this one are exceptionally hard to find on BeamNG.
I guess I could help you with modeling an interiour for the Doyler, but I still haven't really learned how to texture properly, so you would need to find someone for that as well
