Hello, I am wanting to so some technical BeamNG videos on youtube and want to add some informative text to it for better understanding. Example: Does anyone know a free software that can do this? It doesnt have to be feature heavy, just wanting to add some basic text. Thank you for any info/help.
Movie Maker from Microsoft's Windows Essentials can do it, even though it's discontinued. At least, I was able to install it on Windows 7 and still use it now. This 1.2MB download should be what you need, but I can't guarantee you'll be able to install it. Don't be fooled by downloads claiming to be 'Movie Maker' as they're usually repackaged with malware.
Blender has a built-in video editor, which is pretty suitable for what you need. Bear in mind, though, that since it's a pretty diverse program there's a lot of extra clutter from all the things the program can do that you won't need.
I'm using OpenShot now, seems pretty good for free software! I wanted to use footage captured in an old PC game, but Movie Maker makes the quality terrible for whatever reason.
I also use OpenShot for the regular basis. When I've tried to create food delivery website by myself, I hadn't anough money for the freelancer and even video I did in my own. But I can say it wasn't terrible, I hope... lol
