You made BeamNG devs looking old! Great job! Btw. Airbags create some little smoke inside the car when they open. Idk much about the BeamNG engine, but for the airbag models, you could make some better one but still low poly by creating a real cloth animation and bake down the high poly model with all it kind of map channels like, normal, specular, diffuse, shadow, roughness and maybe alpha maps down to your low poly. To get some kind of authentic details in it, like wrinkles or stiches. Modern cars tend to have this kind of stiches.
