Its actually not, the 4.2GHz one is bang in terms of Mbeams/s/Core/GHz with all the other FX-6300's. Its the stock one which is off, its scoring a much higher score than it should, it is probably boosting quite a bit.# EDIT Had another look, no idea whats going on. Some FX-6300's seem to be scoring much higher than others.
Yeah theres definitely something wrong there. - - - Updated - - - This will be turbo clocking, i put it down as 2.9GHz.
I have a fx6300 at 4.2 but only getting 36-42 Mbeams compared to a fx6350 at the same speed getting 45, cpu usage only goes up to about 75% though, this is with both hotfixes for amd fx series cpus
Yes there is a results chart, check my signiture. Also out of curiousity, why do you disable turbo core? Its a pretty nice feature imo.
Out of all the data you have got garyjpaterson what can you assume from the data you have got so far?
Lol I'm at 4.7Ghz now. I've never Oc'ed this far. Results soon (If it doesn't crash) It crashed , but increasing the voltage a little bit fixed it.
That is way to low. A stock 8350 nearly beat a stock 4670k. That is lower than a fx 6300. (Also, didn't the 8320 have 4.0 at stock?)
Could be a memory limitation. I remember estama saying that the BeamNG physics simulation looooves fast RAM.
Indeed it is, but I've decided to leave it off for stability reasons. Turbo-core bumps the multiplier up by two (IIRC) from whatever multiplier you select, so at my level of overclocking it would make it run at 4400 MHz, a bit too much for this CPU architecture, even though it's watercooled.
