My malware protection seems to have some trouble with the file CrashSender1402.exe, it detects "Gen:Variant.Kazy.399203" in it. I use GData InternetSecurity 2015/25.0.1.2. For some reason GData is currently not covered by Virustotal, but another program finds the same thing. https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/...4941f33b99e39a771bc0d2ac/analysis/1403558340/

This is causing trouble. When you block the access to the file or move it to quarantine, then the updater logs that it cannot access the file and quits with a generic error message. I had to disable GData IS's real time protection to complete the download.

Now I have just reported this to GData, is anyone else having this specific issue?

Im having a very similar problem. I updated the game just now, and when I click on the icon to start up it immediately crashes and Norton quarantines this file, downloads\beamng.prerace-update\alpha_prerace\crashrpt1402.dll. I thought it was just Norton(because Norton) but maybe not? Hope this is helpful. Need anything else let me know.

Same problem here, in fact that file is missing from the alpha_prerace directory. Is there a way to fix this? (I also have Norton)

(Having this problem with version 0.3.2)

Uninstall norton because its generally terrible?

Now on a more serious note, norton is terrible for false positives. Turn it off while you update.

Avast registers both launcher.exe and BeamNG.drive.exe during the update process as unknown and suspicious. While it doesn't find anything malicious in the files the fact that it pauses the update to scan them breaks things.

Avast doesn't find anything suspicious in my case.

Hm. Perhaps my false positive report went back to them? There was a definitions update not even 10 minutes later.
