Is there any way to access the first ever version of BeamNG.Drive? (V.0.3x)

Hello everyone. Ive been playing beamng for quite a while now, but ive always wondered what the first version would be like. The only problem is is that i have no idea how to get hold of version 0.3x. Does anyone have any knowhow on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

 

the original techdemo (with the pickup) is technically the oldest release version iirc.
there are probably copies of it around on the internet, though no official ones from beamNG themselves.

it's been quite a few years so apologies if I get this wrong, but I believe the Techdemo WAS the full game at it's time of release. there wasn't even much to it, hence it being called a Techdemo instead of a game. unless you mean the first release version, then in which case patiently wait however many years it'll be for a 1.0 release that may or may not ever come.

 

The techdemo came out awhile before the alpha release, but I wouldn't say it was first full release. It was basically the same version, iirc, just lacking most of the content.

 

I believe at the time it was just the game stripped from all maps and vehicles, except from grid map and the Covet.

Really, I think the only way to obtain the old 0.3.x version of the game would be to have a backup of it or to pirate it. I think SuperAusten64 has an archive of the older versions of BeamNG, maybe you could talk to them about it.

 

Well there is 0.4.0.6 in the steam betas. If SuperAusten64 gave them a copy, it would be considered pirating anyways

 

I'm quite sure I played one with the Covet. There were two techdemos though, v1 and v2. I guess the first one had only the D series in it, second one had only the Covet.

 

The v1 techdemo had the parts selector and multiple configurations of the pickup. Fun Fact: If you select the off-road tires in the V1 Techdemo, there will be no texture and the tire will (wheel, haha puns) be white. The v2 Techdemo has the covet without the parts selector.

 

you could just go to "sketchy russian website" and download it there... but dont do that, most, if not all of those downloads will prolly kill your PC or smth since they're flooded with malware etc.

The tech demo or the actual copy of the game? Also, you are new here. What you have done is called a bump, where you reply to an old thread that nobody has replied to in months/years. Plenty of people do not like it when you bump old threads that are 8 months old. There was a reason for the red box before you posted showing you that there probably was no need for posting here.
