Okay, so I'm having the opposite problem from most people. Most people don't want their username on their license plates, but I do. When I have the choice turned to "on" and enter the game via the steam BNG.exe file, it opens with a random plate. When I go into the license plate menu and hit the circle arrow icon to re-generate the license plate number, THEN my username comes up on the 2nd try !!! 3rd try and beyond it goes back to continuous random as you would expect. I noticed this started soon after I added some mods, but I've since deleted the ones I didn't like, deactivated the others, and have long since done some cache clears along the way. Anyone else having this issue, or know why it might be happening? I mean I can live without my username on my plates, but it bothers me that the game is behaving differently than I'm used to, for some unknown reason.
Hey, sounds like a bug. Could you maybe record a video for us, that would help us to reproduce the issue on our side. Thanks
Hi yes I will. It's 1:55am out here in California though, so I best get to sleep, and I'll pursue this tomorrow
Hey, I was able to reproduce your issue. I can only have my name as plate only once, and after another regeneration it's broken. It happens for me without and with mods. We are working on it Thanks for reporting it! Video - Click to Play - Direct Link
@tdev I just wonder why that bug (already mentioned some times) don't noted by devs for now. What 0.20 Discussion thread | Use Safe Mode before reporting serve for? Don't you have any person for making the bug fixing list for now? Start with dedicated thread first. If you don't figure some user's issues as bugs can you give the feedback for that in the thread?
And did you note that it didn’t show the name 1st time, showed it 2nd time, and then didn’t show it 3rd time & on? And I was referring to the regenerate circle arrow icon— not the check mark.
Ok good enough. Thanks for taking the time to shoot the video and illustrate the issue. --- Post updated --- Sorry, that’s my fault. I placed my thread in the general discussion board, because I didn’t know if it had been brought up already, and I wasn’t sure it was appropriate to put in the “20 Board”.
