with unpacked mods, loading straight into the game shows no vehicle at all, resetting shows the broken mods message in the UI. only after removing unpacked mods does the game work semi normally for me. wheels work for me without any unpacked mods however some stock vehicles do not spawn also the new console doesn't seem to show any meaningful errors, only the legacy one gives you any idea of what is happening all of this is happening even with the fixed line in io.lua
I see. The mods i was referring to were functioning fine before the update, and I believe it was outdated lua that stopped them from functioning. Only the oldsfullsize mod had some direct confirmation that a fix by the mod creator was on the way. Others like the BMW 3 series from agentmooshroom5's mod pack are likely to remain broken due to being unsupported. Thank you all for coming up with a quick fix. I'm still glad that the vehicle parts aren't visually missing anymore. Other than the tyres thing which can be circumvented via config, its really only that corrupted vehicle spawn thats a real issue. EDIT: Do you mean this issue will never be fixed unless the modders do it themselves? That would be a pity if so
It's a weird one, because it defeinitely is there. but then non-packed mods can't see it Just did a game restart to confirm it wasn't some weird caching or w/e going on, and it still happens.
Hello BeamNG developers, I have some issues from 0.20.0 update. Specificly with sound of a engine. Here is a video do understand. I am playing on logitech g29 with clutch and H pattern shifter. Games are on SAFE MOD and clutch assistance is turned OFF and it is Realistic Gearbox. My problem is the engine sound at idle. Engine will like strugle to go and move the car when you just slowly relese a Clutch without Gas. On car with automatic gearbox you can also hear different when is in Drive or Neutral. Not so much but it bring the game to realistic feel. Only this game have that. On video you can hear a different on manual car and you tell me what is better. So if can be fixed that will be a great thing. Thank you P.S. On 0.20.0 update log on Audio this is written "Reduced engine load reading at idle" Is maybe this a thing?
It would be nice If it remembered your selection even after restarting the game. (It's checked after every restart...) and possibly if it didn't collapse all the menu's after pressing apply. Edit: Thumbnails don't update until full restart now
Headers still don't match up to the downpipes on the Barstow Also, the master cylinder and brake booster (which shouldn't even be on a standard 60s car lol) doesn't sit on the firewall. There's a gap behind it, allowing it to look transparent from some angles.
Other thing, I see there was a tickbox added that essentially replaces the old "Pause game" way of changing parts, which is nice. However now everytime you select a new part it collapses the parts tree, which is a bit annoying.
I don't know what the legacy loader is, but here's an example mod it happens with https://www.beamng.com/resources/gavril-cb40.13605/ I have mine set up like this for working purposes, and it has the "extension unavailable" error showing up.
I found a way to reproduce it. I storing all my unpacked mods in folders like ibishu_kashira.zip but if I removed .zip from name it broke game. Basically adding .zip to name fixes issue with unpacked mods for some reason, we are investigating it. We are sorry for all issues.
Doing this in documents/vehicles removes the mod from the game entirely. Hopefully the issue with unpacked and WiP mods is the same thing, so this would be resolved too.
love the new under bruches and small trees how they slow you down on the industry map, but it really do kill the frame rate. With standard cars the fps returns, but with my *old car* mod the fps goes from 60 to 24 and stays there till I load in another car.
Unless you want to not lose your mind while vehicle modding /vehicles is where everything always reloads (textures, materials, models) and you don't ever have to restart the game just to get a new material to appear etc.
