It says the forklift has 4.5 ton lifting capacity but it can't even lift 4 tons, just tips over. Still it's a fun mod.

if it tips over at 4 tons I wouldn't want to see you to handle a real forklift lol

Probably because you kept the forks straight and fairly high up, try pulling them backwards with the associated key and keep them low when you drive around

Yeah, 4 ton starts to get more difficult, but with a load on a pallet, if you tilt up before lifting and keep the load low while driving it should be good.

Yeah, I accidentally dragged the tire normal map into an other mod's folder.

    Should be fixed now.

That has been an issue for a while, and I'm not sure if there's a way to properly fix it without the tires imploding.

I'll probably do some more testing and see what I can do.

Well that must be where I'm wrong :D I tried to make it fall on top of a car, so the forks have to be high up. I guess there is a trick to do that but I don't know.

I dont suppose you intend to allow for other engines/Gearboxes. I honestly really wanna throw this thing down the drag strip as unrealistic as it is.

This forklift is really freaking fun to play with! I wondered how many pallets you could fit in the T-Series trailer, the answer is 22, maybe 24 if you squeezed them together really well. Unfortunately I couldnt stack them because the forklift boom would hit the roof of the trailer. Generally it is a little big for applications like loading a trailer. After moving 22 x 3tons metal boxes the forklift was very close to overheating but everything worked perfectly all the time.

I think if there would be a smaller forklift capable of double stacking pallets inside a container, maybe a whole scenario with loading and unloading trucks, vans and trailers would be extremely fun. Maybe even a small warehouse full of stock and you have to grab a specific item in a limited amount of time to load it on a trailer for example. Or fill the H-Series Box with TastiCola as fast as possible. Or a whole shipping container. Meanwhile some idiot blocks the entrance to the warehouse and you need to "re-park" the vehicle to the next buildings roof? :D The possibilities are endless...

Edit: Also would it be possible to make the fork movement more controllable in some way? Like a soft ramp-up and ramp down in speed, because lifting items with tapping the key is really making everything bounce, holding the key is often too fast.

Can you please add a version that can go 400MPH or faster? The older dcs forklift that used to be in the game was able to go 400 MPH.

You don't load a truck like that. You stack them at the outside and move the boxes together in the truck. Every forklift would hit the roof. You just need to be carefull that your stack dosn't collapse while moving.

You definitely couldn't move 6 (even 3) tons cube by the ground.

You don't put 6 tons at one place in a truck either, so there is no need to stack 3t boxes.
And a normal weighted pallet of one or 1.5 tons makes stacked up to 3 tons, what is definitly doable by the forklift.

I just find that it's almost impossible stack two Tasticola props because of bad collision build. Only three planes have collision at the bottom. Not to enough I guess.
    --- Post updated ---
I add two planes to pallet's bottom and it got more solid. But there are some other little bugs: the top part seems not aligned well because gap between next prop then stacked and strange bevel collision for long side of box.

The inability to double stack in height limited situations is mostly due to the lack of free-lift, in part because I still haven't found a decent source on how that's controlled on the lift's side.

Anyway, as other's have said, you don't usually drive a forklift, especially one that size, inside of a truck. I've seen it done, but most of the time that kind of work will be done with a pallet jack, either manual or powered, which also prevents double stacking since that thing can't do any proper lifting.

However based on your feedback I might look into buffing the radiator fan.

And I might be able to add a smoother "ramp-up" to the mast movement, so you can tap the key for small changes. I can't really have a soft "ramp-down" w/o slowing down the movement as a whole, since that would require to have the mast keep moving a tiny bit after you release the controls.

@Inn0centJok3r has a decent mod for that https://www.beamng.com/resources/v8-racing-forklift.13739/

I don't remember why I didn't put colltris along the bottom? That should fix it, and hopefully not cause other issues. Collisions in beam aren't always 100% reliable.

Anyway that mod is due for it's own thread, since I want to crowdsource additional loads for it.
