I'm all happy and stuff at the new update we just received, and, more generally speaking, I love this game, but honestly it's about time that the wiki get updated.

Ever since I seriously started playing this game, it's had that whole "Don't spend any more time on this as we will replace it soon" spiel in big bright letters on top.

Now my problem with the wiki is that, as it stands right now, it's the only official source from which you can obtain insight and knowledge regarding how to create mods. But it's painfully outdated - there has been many a time when I wanted to find out what x variable meant or how to do y - things that shouldn't be terribly difficult to find an explanation on - but the info on the wiki was outdated or nonexistant, and I had to either try to find the info on obscure old threads here, or ask for help, and if I couldn't get either of them, it was up to me to figure it out on my own.

Given that to update the wiki wouldn't require any effort to create new content, as all that would need to be done is for the Devs and maybe others who are able to write down everything that's already in the game. Surely, summarizing information you already know is much easier than programming and modeling new stuff!

In fact, this might be a bit of a strech for some, but I think that updating the wiki should take a high priority, and not just because it's been long overdue - if you update the wiki, it could become much easier for people to get into modding BeamNG, which in the long run means more content for the game than we would have had with the current amount of official resources present for modders.

Anyway to summarize, I'm not tryna bitch or complain or otherwise be unreasonable, but ever since cornteen began in like March in NYC (the dump where I live, I mean just look at the car insurance rates among other things!), one of my biggest hobbies that I find myself now doing in my free time more than ever - sometimes to an unhealthy extent, even - is modding this game, and it frustrates me when I want to mess with variables or stuff like that, but there exists no information online for it, and sometimes, it's something only the Devs know (probably anyway), so my asking on the forum Help section ends up being futile.

Surely I'm not alone, right y'all!?

Is this supposed to basically be like the updated version of the wiki? It came up every now and then in some of my Google searches, but for the most part, I thought all there was for a majority of things was the Forum wiki!

Yeah they totally gotta update that link, the current wiki homepage makes it seem like there's something new but it's in the works...

    THANK YOU!!!

The thing I have a problem with is pages like this:

    upload_2020-8-8_13-4-25.png upload_2020-8-8_13-4-50.png upload_2020-8-8_13-5-19.png upload_2020-8-8_13-5-35.png upload_2020-8-8_13-5-51.png upload_2020-8-8_13-6-10.png upload_2020-8-8_13-6-24.png upload_2020-8-8_13-6-46.png upload_2020-8-8_13-6-59.png upload_2020-8-8_13-7-14.png

These are all the pages in "Jbeam" besides "Introduction", "Nodes", "Beams", and "Cameras"

Why couldn't they let us have at it with the previous while they made the new, rather than block all community updates while neither work? :(

Because the wiki was abused by a few select users.

Oh, I see... sorry about that. Is there any way to ban just them from editing?
