I mean... with the chaos that goes on in my life... that could very well happen... but my goal is end of year for the first release... even if we have to update it later to get the rest of the offroad bits and bobs and what not... I am aiming to try and finish this thing before the end of the year.

Thats my goal... now keep bugging me to actually sit my butt down and do it... sometimes I do need pushed :p

holy crap that's a lot of flex! i feel like this is gonna be the new best offroader. i feel like the axles are a bit too thin though, i think making them thicker would look better on the car

Just a heads up, the suspension geometry isn't that amazing on the stock hopper crawler, the rear trailing arm angle is too steep causing problems when you are climbing really steep terrain with lots of traction (I'm sure you have experienced this when climbing a steep rock step or something the rear suspension tops out and you fall over backwards). You can sort of fix this by lowering the ride right but you get almost no up travel. flex is nice but it is not the most important part of offroad suspension geometry. You need to have a nice and flat rear trailing arm angle. I hope you hit the sweet spot and it handles perfectly. Awesome work!!!

I just figured this would bring a smile to my fellow military-buffs... I'm 18 years old and just graduated high school. My grad party was a couple of weeks ago. I have a neighbor who I'm very close friends with who collects military equipment and vehicles from the vietnam war and that era. In his front yard sits an M35A2 (Deuce and a Half), an M816 (5 Ton Wrecker) and an M715 (Jeep Truck 4X4) and an aluminum military forklift using M38A1 (Korean War Jeep) running gear that I don't remember the classification for. That's just the stuff in his FRONT YARD. Out back he has an assortment of military trailers and around 1,000 sqft of military gear and equipment. He brought his Deuce and Forklift to my grad party so we had 3 vehicles there (including my World War Two Jeep decked out in gear from my collection.) I may have had the quarantine bog down my graduation... but taking his 6X6 for a few mile cruise and down the highway made the tassel worth the hassle!

now i'm picturing a bunch of limos and sports cars rolling into a venue, and a deuce and a half lumbering in behind them.

on topic, is there some sort of silly chromed-up mall-crawler version planned?

Nah, I'm a country boy, no limos around my place! It was more pickup trucks and muscle cars, but the Deuce definitely still had the same impact as if it were surrounded by limos... As an alumni, I can still go to my old schools events, and I may do Prom because I missed out on that. Take a wild guess as to what I might drive... and if I were to go I WOULD be surrounded by limos so your imagination would be reality lmfao
