To asnwer that question I would say learn . Also you DONT just have to model you can make a map and customize it. Its quite easy actually.

The focus of the developers right now lays on the gameplay and not on the game modes. This will come in the future.
You can also create your own game modes like demolition derbies or time races. Just search on the forum and you'll discover some neat stuff.
