What is 'chat features' on online features when you play on safe mode/play the game for your first t

i just opened the game in safe mode and it says 'chat features' on 'online features' what does this mean???there is no chat?or multiplayer?

 

Maybe the context would help, as in the full text?
A screenshot maybe?

 

Online features are for the repository, and I would assume that the chat has something to do with that as well. Basically the game thinks you are a new player so it asks you if you would like to enable the in-game repository.

Bumped the thread because no one answered this. Here's the possibilities:

1. The development team might be planning to add forum support to the application which would require account linking
2. This might be referring to being able to "view discussions"(just opening the discussion page in your browser)
3. template text from a place they copied it from and modified to fit the game
4. Don't know much, but it might be for multiseat.

 

Someone said that a long time ago there was a chat feature to speak with the devs, in the very early stages of the game.

 

There would be no reason to leave the misleading text in there. Why would they not remove the row mentioning it after the removal of the feature?

Neither do i. Their quality assurance would have to look at the online features screen before actually testing the new content.

 

Not that the screen's important, It's just that wouldn't someone go "hey didn't we remove chat features"? You'd have to click yes/no before actually continuing to the game.

but more likely it is going to be because of the in-game repo. I mean, it literally says it: also the steam achievements and stuff like that


also, it is possible to share photos directly from the photo mode:


the chat features I assume is due to either the chat to devs feature that was previously mentioned, or maybe some upcome career mode stuff. or being able to chat to other throgh steam etc

the other tickbox will be for the collection of data and all that.


disabling them both disables the in-game repository. so that is mainly what that will be referencing
