Well, that's a fair point point. Maybe the devs will add them later on.

Don't forget, however, that there are major updates for any vehicle in every major update, not just every other update. The Grand Marshal for example was given a significant revision during 0.17.x, then the Gavril Pickup was overhauled two major updates in a row, even alongside the Cherrier pair, and that was when we were only aware that we were getting one new car.

If there'll be a new vehicle in 0.20, I think it would have to be the Wendover, and I also speculate that they may end up doing with that what they did with the Bluebuck - two and four-door models. If I recall, the post that said the Wendover would be released solely as a coupe came several months before the 0.17 update, so it's possible that they could have changed their minds about that, and that could be why it's taking even longer to get it ready.

The remasters are a seperate set though, and we already know the H-Series is up next for those (she hasn't got much content compared to her cousins and Stoat told people to be patient last time the lack of content for her was mentioned a few weeks ago). The eSBR and heavily modified crawlers haven't been related to those remasters at all. The D-Series prerunner seems to just be coincidentally being released near the D-Series remaster, as it arguably has more in common with the Crawler Hopper than the factory D15.

As far as I can tell, the vehicle team is split into 3 subteams right now. Two or three people working on Ferretank's pet projects and the rest split between remasters and new content. With some random stuff sprinkled in, such as the updated Pessima race livery we saw.

As for the FCV... The Tograc and Vivace aren't exactly all that different, they are just two adaptations of the same platform. So I wouldn't base any additional vehicle quantity speculations on that, bar the fact that the Autobello, Bluebuck, FCV all shipped with a lot more parts than the older vehicles were shipped with.

I assume the next new car will be the Wendover since it's the only one we know about and it's silly to procrastinate it further, it is 7 years old after all... But this update is going to be before September, which wouldn't leave all that much time to finish the thing. Also, it would break the pattern we've had.

As for if it'll have 2 & 4 doors... Right now, we have no idea what the thing will really be. We know they wanted to further differentiate it from her smaller and cheaper Bruckell cousin, which could result in anything. Maybe it'll be a Tograc/Vivace situation with a platform sister, or maybe they moved the years up or down. We have no idea; there just isn't enough known to make any meaningful speculation.

Looks like the model is in-game. Of course, most likely there's still work left. But now it looks so much more impressive- I mean, everything here is new, even the front lights, fenders, hood- it's all reshaped! This is just amazing work by the devs, as usual...

You know what would be cool? An official 1985 Gavril Prerunner truck.

I wonder if the drivemodes for the SBR will modify the way the active aero behaves. for example, on comfort/eco mode, it could leave the spoiler down under everything except hard braking, and on a track mode, it could just leave it up all the time.

Man the D-Series crawler looks so good! Really gives me that baja vibe. I sometimes wonder though, could the Roamer and the Van get something "special" aswell in the near future?

Concerning possible future "superbuilds" (not sure what else to call them, and been playing NFS payback so the term is stuck in my head):

At this point I'm convinced that the D-Series needs a 2.5 ton Rockwell axle swap and a big block.... Perfect for mudding and garage built monster trucks. If that stuff ever finds it's way onto the D-Series then the Roamer and Van should follow.
Edit: On the topic of axle swaps, 1 ton's on the Hopper would be cool. Kinda a garage built competitor to the crawler.

I'm not sure what other trucks of this style we could see in the current lineup. Obviously if they really wanted to they could do it with almost anything, but that doesn't mean they should. The Hopper and D-Series were the go to sensible options.

    As for on road stuff...

All of the old American cars could see gassers (altered wheelbase gassers would be amazing, I don't know of any games with those) and most if not all could also get modified stockers. A couple of cars could also see some tubeframe front ends to facilitate some crazy engine swaps. There's also options for heavily modified drag cars and derby cars (refer to realistic derby mod).

Also, a Pigeon based on those piaggio Ape racers would be awesome.

Edit: Also a great american truck race T-Series

I hope at some point that the D Series gets factory bucket seats and if possible an older looking dashboard with fake wood for the Pre Facelift (don't get me started on chrome door handles and window trim). Currently it looks like a mid 80s front end and wheels on an early to mid 90s truck.

The dashboard in the D-Series is fine for the 1980s imo. Trucks didn't really get woodgrain because it was seen as a more luxurious material. The D-Series should get a more modern dashboard similar to the one in the Roamer for 1995-ish and up. Airbags started to become mandated around that time so all the trucks had switched away from squaredash designs.

I think that the roamer dashboard and seats would fit pretty nicely in the D series. like remove the center console and reskin the seats with cloth.

I mean... everyone's speculating on what the new vehicle might be but are forgetting that pushbikes are technically vehicles.

I don't think a G Wagon cabriolet would add too much to the game

Those trucks are from an older generation. The dashboard in my Suburban is almost identical to the one found in the D-Series, and both share a lot of similarities in general. As far as I know, none of the squaredash OBS GMs had woodgrain trim. Mine is an SLE trim, so mid level, that doesn't have woodgrain. None of the ones in the junkyard have ever had woodgrain IIRC, but that doesn't mean that woodgrain variants don't exist.

So, I've compiled a list of how many parts each vehicle has (excluding nitrous and aftermarket steering wheels, as those are shared among all vehicles)...and the results are pretty surprising.

    D-Series 657

    FCV 399

    Roamer 363

    H-Series 297

    Hopper 249

    Bluebuck 232

    I-Series 184

    Grand Marshal 181

    SBR 177

    ETK800 175

    Sunburst 174

    Pessima 168

    Autobello 165

    K-Series 155

    Barstow 145

    Moonhawk 135

    Burnside 132

    200BX 132

    Miramar 128

    Covet 125

    T-Series 120 (9 wheel parts)

    LeGran 119

    '96 Pessima 98

    Bolide 86

    Wentward 79 (6 wheel parts)

    Pigeon 60 (2 wheel parts)

Almost every one on the forums (myself included) has had the view that the K/800 have "almost no parts", and that the 200BX/Covet have "lots of parts", but the 800 Series has the 10th-greatest number of parts (175), while the 200BX (132 parts) and Covet (125 parts) are way down in 18th and 20th place, respectively. This is amazing to me because it shows how much of an effect bodykits, adjustable ECUs/turbochargers, and other tuning parts have on a vehicle's "tuning rating".

What's also amazing is how long the I-Series has held up, and how significant it was back in its day. It's the most parts-laden vehicle that didn't get remastered, released, or a big content addition after 0.9. Even the SBR4 and remastered Marshal don't have as many parts as the I-Series, and those got big additions in 0.16/0.17.
