I'm a bit of a newbie myself, I've only figured out tiny things with editing .jbeams.

From what I've heard from a lot of people, editing .jbeams and making proper modifications to cars, especially from scratch and everything of the like, takes a lot of effort with the matters that are required for quality mod-making. I'd like to think that despite being pretty well invested into video games, and computer software that I'd be able to invest myself in working on modifications for games like this to perfect good bases like this mod. I just don't have the time nor dedication to learn things like that to such a degree for something like that, but I'm always willing to help people out and side with mod-makers alike with more practical knowledge of the things that they're trying to get the best out of - like this. Fortunately, I've invested a lot of time into older cars, especially cars that are in the JDM spectrum. So, this is something I'd be passionate about in assisting with, just like I would be with any other car mod for this game dedicated to good ol' JDM gems.

Edit: If you're looking to grab access to whatever was lost like that "TRUENO" badge on the side, the best advice I think I can logically think of would be to dig up some of the older versions of the mod, find it, and see if you can apply some of those aspects on the new hotfixes you've created. All-in-all, any other extensive modifications that haven't already been offered by this mod would be a pretty lofty responsibility to take up on, but for as long as you stay motivated, I fully support you continuing your additions and fixes to this mod!

I know almost nothing about jbeams, lmao, I gotta figure out how the hell to fix the lights thing I mentioned. And how to change the position of the license plate on the front bumper.
    --- Post updated ---
Okay, so what I tried was going into the trueno_fenders.jbeam and the trueno_bumper_F.jbeam files and looking at the light functions. I swapped the variables "signal_R" and "signal_L" with "lowhighbeam", and did the opposite for the fenders.

And... it sorta worked? So now the front ones come on, but they don't actually glow, it's just the flare. Also, for some reason the left light's (relative to the car's direction) flare is offset for some reason.

And as you can see, the side lights don't have a flare, but they still glow.

And now here's a picture of testing turn signals.

Does anyone have any idea how to swap the actual glowmap things for these? And how can I fix that offset flare on the headlight picture?

I've noticed that the steering wheel is off center and it's bugging me.

Off center on where the steering wheel is positioned on the steering wheel stalk, or off center on where the steering wheel is actually anchored/being rotated?
    And which wheels?

Hey y'all, one thing I've noticed is that when I try to make a nice 80's AI traffic setup and I use this car, it doesn't change color. I found out that this was because each config info.json lacked the part where it says "Config Type":"Factory", which is needed because the game doesn't change color on config types other than factory (e.g., "Custom" or "Service" or "Police).

So basically, here's another minor hotfix from yours truly that added "Config Type":"Factory" to every car's info.json so you can spawn it in traffic. Cheers!

EDIT: I accidentally made some configs as "Factory" when they probably shouldn't be, like with the Tofu Delivery one and the rally one and the police one, which are now put down as "Custom" and "Police" for the cop car one.

I now fixed the file, so please re-download if you downloaded before I updated my post! Thanks!

yea tho I didn't fix any jbeam stuff, i just added a single line to each info.json so that configs could work properly in traffic, that's all

The sounds IMHO are just worse than before, the stock 4AGE sound is just the Vivace sounds, the 3A-U is just the stock BeamNG sound with no exhaust and the 4AGE 20V is just the internal sound of a car from 2003. I could provide some video samples if you want (yea yea, the project's dead)

The Vivace I4 sounds fairly accurate to the real 16V, I'd say. Though probably a tad bit too beefy. The 3A-U uses the Pigeon's I3 sound, but I felt it fit best since that's what the AE85 sounds like IIRC.

    The 20V I can't find a good sound for.

I'd add in exhaust sounds but I don't know how to do that in the engine config, I don't know if the exhaust's jbeam has to have something in it for it to work or anything. :p

    I (mostly) modified the 1.6 16v.
    Changes:
-ECU settings: stock: 7500 rpm limit, sport: 8200 rpm limit (8200 rpm so you can replicate Takumi's engine blowing in Second Stage)
-Block variants: stock, tuned (changed the internals rpm limit and adds more power)
(THE ECU AND BLOCK VARIANTS ARE ONLY FOR THE 1.6 16V)
-Changed the rpm limit for the 1.6 20v to 11500
-Modified the power a little bit (the stock 20v makes way too much power, i may replicate it in Automation and just copy the power band)
    -Things that I may forgotten

i'm sorry if something doesn't work as expected

the real 20v 4AGE can only do 10K RPM at best race spec, but many common ones do 8000 and 9000

I don't think the i3 fits the 3A-U at all. the 3A-U is still a 4 cylinder and likewise should use a 4 cylinder sound.
This is the sound of a 3A-SU, just like a 3A-U but with a different carburetor. Engine revving at 13 seconds in.

it's from when the 200bx was updated. it added those fender liners, and the AE86 uses some of 200bx jbeam. It causes those.
