SUV have a high center of mass and as a result are particularly crappy at avoiding rollover accidents.
Grippier tires DO help but offroad tires are bigger. If you really wanna rolll over use BIG THICC drag tires super inflated.
Really big bump but: https://www.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCa...oter_flips_a_pickup_truck_while_fleeing_from/
I mean, the only thing that made that roll was the fact that it was punted from the opposite side by the fleeing car. A low car punting the underside of a taller truck from the side? By doing that you could have probably rolled that Ram on dirt
Then I would say you haven't been trying hard enough. Seriously... go take a low car, and then slam it into the side of a slightly lifted D Series. I say slightly lifted because a stock D Series sits much lower than a Ram. Also, you have to get the speed right... in the video you can see the initial hit slides the truck sideways... once both vehicles lose energy, the tires on the Ram are able to grip back up and allow a hefty amount of weight transfer which helps to pop the truck up on its side. Hit too slow, not much happens, hit too fast, you just knock the truck up into the air or just entirely spin it out. But once you hit it, don't let off... you have to stay in it just as that guy fleeing did... as you can see, the initial hit knocked the truck up onto 2 wheels, but it wasn't enough to roll it, so it started to come back down... then the car hit it again, which popped it up even further, but that still wasn't enough despite the fact that the truck was well over 45° so it again tried to come back down... then the car hit it a third time which finally pushed it over the edge and made it fall onto its side. That Ram needed some serious prevoking to finally get it up on its side like that.
