Henlo, so after a long vacation I decided to so some modding for beam again, this time editing the official vehicles to add a bit more variety to the game. This is the first idea, the Something [a temp name obviously, until I can think of something better - pun intended ;)]

This car is based on the 89 Pessima model/jbeam, but it will be a completely different car entirely. Like the Pessima, the Something will be a mid sized Japanese saloon, with dimensions within Japanese 3ナンバー/compact class tax category (length 4.7m, width 1.7m or less).

Unlike the Pessima, the Something will use a front engined, rear drive layout powered by an array of inline 6 cylinder engines. Think of it as Ibishu's answer to the likes of the R31 Nissan Skyline and Toyota's GX71 chassis:cool: (and styling mixed in with various other cars)

There will be 4 bodystyles planned:
    • 4 Door Saloon - fairly self explanatory.
    • 2 Door Sports Coupe - also fairly self explanatory.
    • 4 Door Hardtop - like the saloon, but with no B-Pillar, lower-sportier roof line and frameless doors, offering the style of the coupe with the practicality of the saloon.
    • 4 Door Estate - useful for delivering big packages quickly  this will likely be a somewhat sports orientated estate, so the wheelbase and suspension will likely be shared with the sedan.
So far the sedan body is basically complete design wise:

I have also started work on the Coupe bodystyle:

Suspension will feature McPherson struts in the front (much like the pessima), but rear will have semi trailing arm IRS (which i will borrow/edit from 2400i:p). I may make a solid axle option for base models, depending if i can be bothered doing so :)

Also this will be a JDM model, so the steering wheel will be on the correct side of the car, amber indicators that don't double as running lights, lots of fancy but likely useless gadgets ect..
I may do a USDM model after completion...

That is all for now, stay tuned for further updates;)

(also please refrain from name suggestions, I'll come up with one on my own in due course:))

Finally, proper JDM car! Most "JDM" car mods are just USDM models converted to RHD

just throwing ideas around, since the taillights still look wip, why not do something more funky with them, being that it's a premium model.
perhaps strakey covers, like the f31 leopard,

or why not some more distinctly broken up double bars like the R31? skyline afterburners are overrated.

or maybe even some kind of weirdly proportioned, but mesmerisingly clean-looking heckblende bar, like a subaru XT or Z31.
