I'm glad to see I didn't bump an old thread for nothing!

I actually found this thread through a Google search - I thought a cobra-style car would be terrific fun to drive in BeamNG and so searched to see if anyone had produced something similar.

I can't really offer anything practical to get the Mk4 roadster into the game, but you can tell Factory Five my primary motivation for getting it would be to drive it, not crash it!

It's also prompted me to look up Factory Five - they do some awesome looking cars! Why have I not heard of their GTM Supercar before?!

As freaking awesome as it sounds to have the real Cobra in BeamNG, I have my doubts that will happen. You know, legal stuff and who knows what else.

It'd still do great as a mod I think. If it was given a fictional name and uploaded to the repository, I could see it holding a position on the featured resources list. It'd probably be as popular as NinetyNine's S-Series and SergentFido's Oldsfullsize.

Well... I mean... it's not impossible... didn't they make a VW Scirocco or something like that into LFS at one point? I could have sworn I saw that and from the official dev team no less. So I suppose the same could happen for Beam.

Oh yes, LFS Scirocco, except release for next Christmas, was that 2006? They are still waiting as well as new tire model, which was about ready at that time. There were unforeseen problems with new tire model, but rest assured work continues. I think it might be one of the longest delays in game development history. I kinda feel for their devs though, but also I think it is good lesson of admitting of something not going to happen instead of keeping up hopes for more than 10 years.

Now, I have read the red box, and I know this is considered as a bump, but I am really interested to know if the dev team has released any more info on this, as I know one plan was that they may add this to the game?
Sorry if this annoys anyone, but really want info for this!
    Thanks!

I think all the information that is available is in this thread, so there really is no any information.

Sorry to break it to you, but probably never. You just bumped a thread that has been inactive for a year and a couple of months. Please check the dates of the post before yours.

As the post above me states. I'd also like to point out that the OP hasn't been online since July 2018, almost two years ago. Any hope I had with this is long gone.

I agree, it did look cool, but alas. :(
