OG VC! It's going to take a while (not many months, as in 6 or more, but not weeks either) since not only certain things are lost/messed in the porting, but I'm also fixing/upgrading certain details wrong in the original map itself, but it's definitely a nice progress overall.
got bored decided to have some "environmentally concious" burnouts (i am very much aware of the condensa, now go away)
So, about map improvements on VC...a perfect example, right here: This is 100% original stock straight from VC besides the parking sign, which has been properly 3D'd (the back and the front of it were not connected, floating in mid air...so maybe 90% original). What's wrong here? Well, first of all, this is definitely not a parking, is an entrance to the runways, unless you consider them a plane parking But I'm not changing that of course, that's how the game went and how we remember it, but I'm improving other details, if you look at the entrance itself, it makes no sense at all. First, I'm pretty sure there are supposed to be barriers in there, I can see the main body which supports the barrier on each side, and even a small white part which I pressume are where the barrier itself goes, not only they are not there, one of the main bodies is facing the wrong way. And then...if vehicles are supposed to enter/exit from there, why the sidewalk is not lowered for easy access? In GTA it doesn't really matter, but in BeamNG, if you try to use that access, your exhaust will be torn off by the curb, at best, so it's not useful at all unless your car has the needed clearence. Finally...a lightpost in the middle? Don't think so. So, after some modifications...how probably R* meant to do this: Way better!
About 300kg worth of batteries that add upto about 25kwh, for a range of 20-40km if you plant your foot to the floor, or you can sacrifice 10kwh by putting the rear seat back in and keeping the ones in the trunk bonus aero fascia (battery brackets not yet modelled) There is a cover panel so it can look slightly less janky if you want With the rear seats in it still leaves you with decent cargo space in the rear Later on i'll think about if i want to make a proper digital gauge cluster for this, or keep stock covet gauges with just some dash mounted amp meter for maximum jankiness
