Looking for clarification on new rule/s

Looking for some clarification on if meshslaps are officially banned now as per content rule 11?


Also follow up question if they are banned and new content must abide by the rule is it suggested to use the report button for it?

Not looking to start drama and please only post in response if you have the correct answer(with proof preferably unless moderation team cause clearly their word is proof enough )

I think it would be good for people to report things in like this, I am okayish at spotting things if its obvious but if its a disguised meshslap mod it will get past me and I would trust people who know what to look for to report them

 

Ah ok, just the way the rule is written very much sounds like assets from other games and sources are banned. Not trying to be a smartarse just curious if this was intended or not.

 

On the subject of clarifying the new rules, what counts as "profanity" in the content section?

Is it all swearing, only specific words, anything negative or targetted at someone else etc banned/not allowed?

 

Would this include meshlaps?

 

only if the meshslap uses models you don't have permission to use.

Speaking of meshslaps..
Would a scratch jbeamed mod that uses a model from a different game still count, or would it be okay?

Also on the topic, would that mean I wouldn't be able to release my Maserati Tipo 61, since it uses a model from another game, despite the fact that it is scratch jbeamed?

It is using the model from another game, however it will have a lot of editing such as modelling a frame, and modelling the engine - which the original model lacked.

 

Porting an already stolen model is still copyright infringing though, just means you didn’t rip it from the game files yourself. Also porting a model without permission or without the correct license is still theft and would infringe copyright.

I feel like this rule needs a subsection with allow/not allowed.

Does this mean that if Turn10 for example doesn't request removal that we can use mesh from its games to further create scrap made mods ?
