I agree. It does spin out incredibly easy for me. off topic: I haven't watched "you're under arrest" yet, though it seems cool. Japanese police cars are awesome so might give it a watch
Can I get that Japanese city map mod ?? It looks so good and can contribute with Japanese cars like Hirochi, Mitsubishi, and others
Here's my view on this mod. As one who has driven a similar kei (city turbo, and no, certain tracks don't need licenses, just approval by JAF to drive underage) I can say with confidence that this is a quite accurate representation of a kei car. It drives zippily and has a turning radius smaller than my bedroom. However : I must point out a few things that I realised while driving this around. a) Some versions (checked if they are official Ibishu cars or not) surpass 64hp; ever since the Alto Works, kei cars are only allowed to have 64hp. This remains so to this day. b) The Kagoshima Police livery : IRL Kagoshima's P.D. cars have "POLICE" written in white in the black part, and the curve on the hood seems rather wonky. It would also be awesome to have a realistic police badge on the grille (hey, I can help, I'm in MfD too). The font - although I'm nitpicking at this point - seems a tiny bit off; lack of Japanese fonts, I suspect. Above is a IRL patrol car in Kagoshima. Light bars vary, so no problem. (Also... why Kagoshima? License plate says Tsuchiura... I'm sorry to be pointing out such negligible issues) But why am I talking about issues that don't even matter? Because this mod is fantastic, and there is not much to fix. So, bear with me. Thank you for making a lovely little kei car that I never imagined I'd see in BeamNG. I'm looking forward to crazier versions (whether you like only having realistic configs or not, I cannot tell), and this car will be one of my favorites for a LONG TIME. Cheers, Ryo.
To be fair I'd imagine most Kei cars are sketchy as fuck at speed. They're not exactly designed to be driven much above 50mph. I'd suggest taking a bit of spring rate out of the rear and adding a bit more to the front as well as adding some caster. --- Post updated --- Since you've driven some do Kei cars that rev above 8k tend to just seem to fall off-cam like this thing does? I'd imagine by third gear they just don't have enough torque up there to overcome wind resistance.
Their cams tend to be small enough to not really flow above 7000rpm even though the valvetrain is easily capable of more as there's such little inertia in it all. currently in the dev build stage 2 internals do this to the powerband of the retuned SOHC i3 stock it won't be any use taking it past 7k engine that it's based on is this for reference
Indeed. Especially the City really lacked high speed performance - which was why I was told to use it for a first drive.
please keep working on this!!!!!! this has the potential to be such an amazing mod. they are soooooo fun to drive
F bro, that sucks. Lucky for me, I live in an area where the beach is near, and relatives houses are near, so I can drive to a pool just for a day trip, and then come back and hop on beam. I'm assuming you moved far away. Do you have access to a somewhat powerful Windows laptop? Even like an old ThinkPad running Win7? If you can get your hands on something like that, I bet you can play. When I was visiting my parents for a long period of time, I just took my old ThinkPad, and was able to run the game on lowest settings with a 30 fps. It may not be the best experience, but it's still nice.
