it's possible, but the fact that there's a heap of large industrial stuff there leads me to believe it'll be port. the industrial area with the race tracks was never that built up (though they might change that). I must say, I find it bizarre they're leaving JRI last, I thought being a "major" map it would have been a higher priority and therefore completed faster, but this makes me wonder if they're doing something more drastic... Jri Was a ''remaster'' of Dri so i dont see the point of having it go first but a remaster seems really likely though.
the thing is, JRI was older, and is showing its age much more than old Utah was, and yet they updated utah first. I vow to 3d print a 1:87 scale model of an Ibishu Pigeon and eat it if they don't update JRI eventually. speaking of utah, it's got those really cool mineshafts and caves. what other slightly left-of-field features could they add to pordustrial/JRI?

Oh, those revamps look amazing; and more immersive than the current versions, for that matter. Yeah, while looking good in some spots, the entirety of it doesn't feel as up to par with the newer maps; it's definitely due for a remaster.
A JRI remaster was confirmed to be WIP by the devs, but it may be in very early development and not ready for the next update.
I'm kinda happy we have something to speculate about now. We hadn't had pictures for a while and me as a lurker needed some distraction from all the non-speculating parts of this thread.
same as with the Port/Industrial revamp, the earliest pictures we got were released when italy came out. so the development might take a while.

Perhaps port could be just placed on a brand new map with new stuff actually on the land portion and renamed.

to be honest it would be the first, because the port ones seem to be more greener than the screenshot with the abandoned oval.
Yeah, I need that banked turn now. That's gonna be awesome. Hopefully its more than just the one turn and it's a full oval incorporated with that road course. Either way, I'm excited.
