People were excessively posting leaked mods and wouldn't stop no matter how many times the devs deleted their posts.
My take: I'm pretty sure the devs are finally doing something about this Russian mod crap which is good. However, I think it kinds sucks that the whole thread got locked. I wanted to take some pictures of the MAN TGS on Roane County made by bob.blunderton and I still can, but I have to do it on a different thread. The "parody" meshslap threads of Community Screenshots and Development Screens got deleted, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised about this happening. We'll see what happens to the Development Screens thread next. I don't know how long Community Screenshots will be locked, but hopefully it'll be unlocked eventually. I did notice drama on the thread, so maybe that's part of the reason as to why it got locked. I'm not a 100% sure how it got locked. Anyways, this is me over and out for now.
What a pity it got locked. I have a lot of cool screenshots saved on my computer that I would like to share.
I doubt the lock is permanent. It will be unlocked when staff is finished with cleanup, and you'll be able to post your screenshots. Edit: I was indeed correct.
You have a fair point. I highly doubt the lock would be for long, so let's just chill for now. Hopefully, the thread will be unlocked before we know it.
I hope so too, man. Yeah, besides. Even if the lock is permanent. We can always make a new thread about it if we have to. However, that could get locked too unfortunately.
Okay, I read the thread, but I couldn't quite tell what caused it to get locked. Could you explain what happened, please?
I think it was locked, because people posted pictures of Dayz Me Rollin's my summer car map. There was a dl link for a small period of time, now it's removed (I was a lucky one who could get his hands on it, I love this map). I guess he didn't like people posting pictures of it so he reported every post that contains the map. The staff is probably cleaning the thread now to Dayz Me Rollin's wishes. The screenshot thread is probably (and hopefully) not locked permanently.
