It's no material, AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY DOES NO ONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS DOYOUAANNOTREAD So, go back to the old message's, and do all of those steps. If you don't know, than I am making a video on it, because I want people to get it right :I
after the last update, this map seems to have no-texture problems. does anyone else have this aswell? also i have cleared my cache and it didn't work sadly. ok never mind everyone has this problem.
Again, no material, also how does no one read. READ ALL OF IT BEFORE PLAYING WITH THE UPDATE, IT SHOULD SHOW YOU HOW TO FIX IT AND THE BUG. Go into documents Select the BeamNG Drive folder Press on it, Go through all of these folders Go into level's ( not html ) And delete the garfieldHeights folder. What it does is it removes the old one, and replaces them with the new one's. Than clear your cashe. If it doesn't work, you did not follow it correctly. Or something is really wrong with BeamNG Drive.
I got it to work, and as I recall (it's been a few days and I'm getting old), 1. I first cleared cache like was first suggested... 2. Went to C:\username\MyDocuments\BeamNGDrive\levels, and made sure anything extra I had made in world editor (such as changing the position of the sun, etc) was deleted. 3. Went to C:\username\MyDocuments\BeamNGDrive\mods; then typed in the search box upper right hand corner the words "garfield", "garfield_heights", something like that. I don't recall the exact wording, Occam Razer made mention of it a few pages back. This calls up any spare files in hiding... you delete those. Edit: Disregard the items below. I wrote this right after BryceSTP sent his instructions, but before seeing what he wrote. My method was overkill, but it worked for me. But it's totally unnecessary. Listen to BryceSTP, he's been doing this way longer than I; and he knows what he's talking about. [cross strike] 4. Though Occam said it wasn't necessary, I played it safe and went into the c\user\documents\beamng\mods\repo -- AND DELETED The garfield_heights.zip folder! I figured it can't hurt, and the worst you have to do, is go back to the repository and subscribe to it from scratch. [cross strike] [cross strike] 5. I also, for good measure, deleted the 'db.json' file that's sitting below next to the "repo" folder, within the "mods" folder-- since I feared that might have remnants of the old garfield, and I wanted that file recreated fresh as well. [/cross strike]
Ok i have done that. just to make sure. after i delete the garfeildhights folder, does it replace them with new ones automatically or do I have to redownload the mod?
You can do that if you want... I did. But it's unnecessary and it's overkill. And I think that's the point Bryce STP was trying to get across. His instructions are the most efficient way of attacking the problem without any more steps than necessary. (I should have read them first myself!).
I do notice after playing with the map for a while, some textures still either don't work or are missing, like a few buildings are just white (mainly is the newest part, city area) and driveways have no texture and are just invisible.
