    Hello everyone.
Ive recently bought a new Logitech G920 for Xbox One and PC, to finally immerse myself in the world of realistic driving. But knowing Logitech shortly after, i came to note that it wouldnt really be that way.

I've installed the drivers and Logitech Gaming software, as it was recommended to me. But for some reason, BNG simply would not recognize the Wheel or the driver, or any inputs i made.
Ive looked at the Steering wheel setup thread here, and i ran through the checklist. The driver runs perfectly fine, Windows recognizes it, and i can use the debug function of the joy.cpl. it showed me that all buttons worked perfectly fine, and even the pedals and wheel were recognized as needed. But still, whenever i open BNG or any other Racing Sim, it will not recognize the Wheel. Under Hardware, BNG only displays Mouse and Keyboard, even though the wheel is calibrated and plugged in.
During my first days of struggling with the wheel, i managed to get it working on BNG, for about two or three times. I ran the Game as Administrator, and then it would *sometimes* recognize the wheel as such. and the couple times it worked, it would work perfectly and as intended. FFB and everything would work without any problem. now, even when i run the game as admin, it will not see the wheel.

As a side note, the wheel works perfectly with one game called My Summer Car. Every time i run MSC as admin, it works without any issues.

So.. here is my story, the steering wheel setup thread told me to go to the forums, in case i couldnt see the wheel ingame, but in the windows debug panel.

update the firmware on your wheel. That should fix it, it fixed my wheel issue.

What 'Steering Setup thread' are you referring to?

We have a pretty in-depth guide on the Wiki about steering wheels. Not sure if you are referring to that. In either case, please check this bit

i had this, you need to run the gaming software after every time you plug in the wheel and it will disconnect and reconnect and then the game will recognise the wheel

I´ve done these things to get my old g29 to work:
(Please note: Some translations may not be 100% correct, as i only have german windows)

    1. Install both LGHub and Logitech Gaming Software on your PC

    2. Make sure that both apps can run after startup. For that, right click on your Taskbar, open Task Manager, click on Startup Programs and enable both LGS and LGHub.

    3. Restart your PC and open LGHub to see whether the wheel is recognized or if it works. If not, follow step 4.

    4. Go to device manager by pressing Windows Key and R together. In the "Run" box, type "Devmgmt.msc"

Under Input Devices you will see your steering wheel listed. Right click on that and choose "update drivers"
Now click on "Search for drivers on this computer" and then on "Choose from a list of drivers on this computer"
You should see a driver named "Logitech G HUB G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel USB"

Install that one, and your wheel should work!

Please let me know if this worked.

I've experimented around with drivers and the info you guys suggested. I can confirm that it was a problem listed in the 'common problems' section in the Steering wheel setup thread, but it had one big twist to it. The first problem listed said to go to Steam's big Picture mode, and to turn off all Controller settings there. ive tried, and it made things worse. Even My Summer Car would not recognize the Wheel after that. But i didn't want to take no for an answer and uninstalled and reinstalled the Steam Client onto my Computer, then tried to turn off the Controller settings once again, which then ultimately worked on all games (AC, MSC and BNG!). Turns out the Client slacked on Updates and somehow didn't acknowledge me trying to change the Settings, which made me unable to turn them off. The weird part was that it was updating every time there was a Steam update available!

Anyways, I am very thankful for everyone trying to help, i've tried out your suggestions and will tell you what happened.

I've tried that through both Logitech gaming software and by uninstalling and resinstalling the driver, no effect.

yes, i was referring to the link you provided. Turns out steam was not letting me change the controller settings despite showing they were.

Strangely, this only worked for My Summer Car, but none of the other games like BNG or AC.

Ive tried something similar before, only with the Gaming software though, either LGHub or LGS wouldnt recognize the wheel if i had both installed at the same time. Somebody owning a G29 told me that LGHub isnt as good as LGS, which is why i only used that. I did not know about refreshing the drivers this way though, so it did help me a lot! But it wasnt the driver's fault, as Steam was doing some major Tomfoolery with the new Piece of hardware i put it through.

I really appreciate the help you offered me, so i would like to thank everyone a lot! :) I hope people with the same issue will see this thread, and i hope it helps them as much as it helped me!
