I've decided to start making mods so I have something to do during quarantine, so I'm making a Gavril D-Series 2007-2012 facelift. I haven't started working on the truck yet, so here's some sketches I made. I will upload more screenshots later. Sorry about my hideous drawing skills. Also any help would be appreciated!
The idea looks really nice, I'd like to try it out. PS. Next time I suggest making a thread after you already have some progress on the model and stuff. Two sketches seems way too early compared to most of the WIP threads around here.
1. What was the point of posting that image 2. That's a 2020 model you goof. He's making one about a decade earlier.
Progress update #1: Made doors and started the cabin. PS: I would like some criticism. That would help me a lot.
Why do you post a ram? Because you want it? sorry but nope. OT: you need to make the door more curvy. And the cabin to.
Since you're doing a facelift, you could probably just modify the models of the existing D series. Or atleast use the base frame and modify to be more curvy. The current status is not great to be lightly honest. Watch some videos of how you can make nicer curves. Watch a timelapse and watch a basics video of different modifiers and controls.
I think he didnt know what facelift is. you should change it to 2007-2014 gavril d series cause its to changed to be a facelift
I've tried to import the existing D-Series into blender, but it won't let me. I'll see what I can do though.
Just giving some feedback: I'm just saying that I don't think that the model should be a facelift because if it's 07 - 12, it wouldn't have a body from the mid 80s. You might want to remove facelift from them title as I see you are doing the body from scratch. You also might want to make the body way curvier but you can do that later if you like
Gavril seems to be more of a mix of ford and chevy and that's shown in the newer facelift that looks like an older f250 front end so I would recommend combining them in some sort of a way
you could use an automation one as examples instead of poorly drawn images it does look kinda interesting tho i would be welcome to make those automation models for you as a baseplate
I only was going to build it from scratch because blender was being stupid and wouldn’t import the existing dseries. I finally got it do import the truck, though. So now I’m going to use the existing truck and modify it from there. --- Post updated --- It’s actually supposed to be based on a GMC Sierra, but my drawing skills are absolutely horrible.
