    Please do, its my favorite track. I was so happy when you originally posted this and I could have Indianapolis in this game.

    It's almost certainly broken, the last update to this was in 2016. The threads and posts are time-stamped at the bottom of each one. As a general rule of thumb, if the last update on the first post or the last reply was over a year ago then the mod is likely outdated (although not always).

    I see you're new, we've all been there. If the last reply was a long time ago then adding another reply is known as a 'bump' because it pushes a mod to the top of the list even though it's old and almost certainly broken. If this happened on a lot of old mod posts then it'd make finding the newer, working mods more difficult.

    If you want other speedways, perhaps try these (though they are still old so they may not work properly):
    https://www.beamng.com/threads/akron-motor-speedway-reworked.53537/ -- A square speedway.
    https://www.beamng.com/threads/daytona-international-speedway.45847/ -- A misshapen oval speedway.

    To start off your mod collection, you're probably better off going to the 'mods' section at the top of the web page as most of them work and they're sorted by the last update done to the mod.

    Im not 100% sure what happened there.
    But knowing this map... it takes a shitload of time to load... i just loaded this map on a nvme ssd with a ryzen cpu and it took way longer then any map ive ever seen. this map is kinda a disaster...
    If you installed it properly, depending on the specs of ur pc, just give it a lot of time to load... and dont click on beamng while its loading. if you say the game crashed but keep clicking in the loading screen, beamng often does that "white" shade thing where it looks like if it stopped responding and is looking like crashing.

    Did you install it in the right place?
    Double check and if you put the mod in the beamng mods folder in my documents it should work.

    This map still works fine nonetheless... but it desperately need a remaster too lol.

    If i wanted to do such things. aka. remaster/rework this map.
    In other words, optimize it, add ai roads and put the last final touches on a map like this for it to be 100% complete.

    How could i even start to optimize this thing?
    Id figure add different lod for when you get further might help and such. but this map has something awfully wrong with it.
    I have never seen a map take this long to load.

    I havent modded in a while and honestly i was just starting to learn when i made this map. But now im rusty between all that haha.. and im sure things have changed a lot since this map was released...
    If i could get a tip or 2 on how to get things better id put a few hours fixing this map. its a fun map. and ive been dying to add ai roads to it but it never really ended up working properly from what ive heard.

    Id want to make this track an option as a quick race as well. was thinking maybe a scenario down the road if i really want to.

    Hopefully i can get a few tips and get this map back up to 0.19's standard or something close at least..

    Oh, I'm sorry. Teaches me for assuming things! I don't have an awful lot of experience but I've worked with the BeamNG World Editor once or twice and with a somewhat recent GCSE education in computer science (and a general interest) I like to think that I kinda understand a bit about computers. I'm probably no better than you at making maps for Beam, but if you want some help (two minds are better that one and all that) that I'm happy to give some time to this mod since I'm not doing much else anyway.

    I wasnt necessarily asking you for optimization help haha. i just wanted to post the message out there, if someone knows how to do this, they could potentially throw in a link to some useful info or something alike.
    maybe i shouldve put a note before that paragraph or just posted it in a different msg.
    Honestly, anyone who catches that message and could give me tips on how to improve this map is welcomed tho.
    If you do wanna work on this map tho... its missing a few collision models for the stadiums and such. but i wasnt gonna bother with that until i get a proper optimization done.
    Its nothing im planning to work on anytime soon anyways. ive got college to finish up first but i do have a bit more spare time recently due to quarantine so i was tempted to mess around and fix stuff in the meantime.
    But yet again... i need to know what im doing before starting to optimize this..
    Not gonna throw this project to someone else tho. if you want to i mean, nobody is stopping you but i was thinking about doing it in the future lol.

    Finally, a oval track with walls and all. Can you do Bristol, Pocono or Talledega next?
