Those blueprints have perspective, and only 3 views, therefore making an accurate 3D model from them would be nearly impossible. It should be fine if you use the cached.dts file and delete the DAE before release.
Thanks for the prints! As stated those are perspective drawings I would need ortho vector Drawings which I imagine cost a few bucks, these will help a lot though. In this case it'll be a lot of guess work which takes longer and leads to headaches and temper tantrums : ) the model will be off by a few inches in places. Currently I have the outer shell modeled and i'm tweaking the topology, this takes a few hours, I'm OCD about that lol Update: Just put the dimples in the hood using the method gabster explained, Im proud of my work so far : P
http://www.cars.com/kia/optima/2013/360-views/ Here's a site that offers a 360 interior and exterior view of the optima. It might help with the guesswork a little...
Nice find! This will definitely help, I'll also check to see if there are any 1:18 or 1:24 scale models of it that would be perfect Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just finished the front bumper! : ) starting the rear bumper - - - Updated - - - Really taking shape : )
I know that the toy car companies (Hot Wheels, Matchbox, etc...) used to have sites where you could look at each car produced, but it's been ages since I've been to those sites. They might still have something. Fantastic Job on the Modeling, BTW. Wish I had the knack with blender like you do!
