I think we now need a more modern American sedan, with v8 and manual options available, and speaking of more country variations, maybe an Australian rebadge (you all know what I mean, right? ;)

It would be a list of parts that randomly generate every week or so of game time. each part will fit under a certain grade, say 5 will be new while 1 will be junk. mind you, think that's how it might work in those games.

or maybe an online marketplace (with set inventory built in of course, that will restock every week or so game-time) where users can pawn off their parts in exchange for "money" or to trade for other parts. like how fence works in escape from tarkov.

Honestly, now that we got the Kentarch brand in game now. I'd love to see some Kentarch stuff included with the H-series remaster, (e.g: shuttle / school bus, C-class RV / custom conversion van, and a passenger variant with windows and removeable seats).

If we do get a passenger van like that Econoline, I'm really hoping we get a factory stripe paintjob on the higher-end models, which many American extended passenger vans had at the time.

There is a contingent on this forum that thinks the Piccolina's engines are too big to be realistic.

Have you ever looked at the actual Italian small cars of that era?

We already stated multiple times that the mechanical base for that car is a beetle. :)

It was, however, built in a country with different socioeconomic conditions.

Also, if it's like a Beetle, then why the unibody?

Hope this answers your question, but I think he's referring to gabester's health conditions affecting his work. I've forgotten what they were, but I think I remember one of them had to do with his hand. I don't think anyone believes he's dead or anything.

    I would assume they did.

For the drivetrain they took inspiration from the Beetle, but the design and the chassis is inspired from other cars, for example the front design is from a Fiat 500, the rear seems to be from a beetle, and the chassis is from another real car.
The Autobello isn't a italian beetle, it's a tiny italian car with the same drivetrain as a beetle, but all the other parts are different

Same as that the vivace has an inline 5 despite there not being any french car that ever had that engine.

Well, it doesn't really look like they did...

    Hate to quote myself but:
    Just a few more examples:

    - In 1964, FIAT introduced the 850 (powered by an 850cc motor) to slot between the smaller 600 and the larger 1100 which, at the time, served as a family car and was the most natural rival of the Beetle, both in terms of size and content. The Piccolina is said to be some sort of an "upmarket" small car, so the FIAT 850 and similar products offered by french and german manufacturers should have been the most obvious references, not a car 1-2 segments above like the Beetle...
    - Even though quite large for a citycar, the Renault R4 was powered by a 750cc engine at launch (1961). A 1100cc engine option only came in the late '70s.
    - Similarly, the Citroën 2CV debuted with a 375cc engine under the hood (1948). In the '60s, engine capacity had grown to 425cc.
    - The early "Typ 40" NSU Prinz was powered by a 585cc motor. "Typ 47" Prinz IV was powered by a 600cc motor. The only Prinz to be powered by a larger engine was the Prinz 1000, which was essentially an enlarged, stretched "Typ 47" to rival other family cars like the Beetle itself, the Simca 1000 or the FIAT 1100/1200.
    - The short-lived, Isetta-derived BMW 600 was powered by 600cc engine. Its replacement, the BMW 700, was powered by a 700cc engine.
    - The DKW 600 "Junior" was powered by a 600cc engine despite its size, being just 4cms shorter than the Beetle. The Renault Dauphine was powered by an 850cc engine and it was only 2cms shorter than the DKW.

I get it, "the mechanical base is the Beetle", but everything else is not. Size, market placement, socio-economic context...

I don't want to be rude, but there's a dedicated discussion thread for the Piccolina. Can you please take your Piccolina arguments there instead of cluttering up this thread?
    https://www.beamng.com/threads/autobello-piccolina.58256/

    Thank you. :)

Anyways, back to speculating about the van...

I would like to see a fancy two-tone paint job for the higher-end models:

    Trackday version anyone?
