DCT Gearbox - Gear whine?

I've been playing this game for years, and I've been enjoying every single update that's been brought to it. I've only played in Freeroam and I've just thoroughly enjoyed the physics all the way.

However, my question is regarding transmissions. I know the racing-type manual transmissions have gear whine, simulating them being straight-cut gear transmissions. I more or less make copies of these transmissions for the vehicles in game that have them and modify their coefficients to be a bit louder, so that it's a little more audible when I'm cruising around 70 mph/113 km/h. I personally enjoy the sound while driving, even if it's in a car more suited for the road than the track.

Getting more to the point of my question, I used the same coefficients in the transmission code of my custom manual transmission for the Vivace, and created a 6-speed DCT using the same ratios from my manual. When I use it, though, I get no whine out of the gears at all. Is it because of it being a DCT I get no whining from the gears, despite everything in the coefficients being the same? I figured if I used the same coefficients from the manual I made that I could simulate a straight-cut geared DCT.

Any insight would be appreciated, but my guess is simply that the effects are not enabled for DCT-type gearboxes.

only manuals and sequentials get gear whine right now unfortunately. i do believe that will change relatively soon though.

 

Makes sense they would only enable it for manuals and sequentials initially, I remember when there was no whine at all. Hopefully, they will implement it for DCTs at a later date. It's not something that's going to stop me playing the game if they don't add it, but it would be a little more icing on a great cake.
