Car radio sound effect

Hi, when you play in lightrunner mode there is a music, and when you go in cockpit view there is a filter that made the music sound like it comes from the car's radio.
I would love to have radio to listen to when I'm driving on beamng but it require either :
- Buying licences from artist to use their songs ingame
- Create new music for beamng
But both options are expensive and time-consuming. So instead, I play music on my PC when playing.
The problem is that this music isn't really immersive as I don't feel it comes from the car. So is it possible to know who do you achieve this effect in lightrunner, so I will try to recreate it with my own music ?

I do like your idea, but as you described, it would be very time consuming and costly to do so, even most AAA games struggle with license payments because of the whole big issue with licensing music nowadays (I did a 2 year course for music production and licensing so I understand) but with a game like this, I would say it was essential, specially since there is such a high level of multitasking the game does already, and music streaming would just add to the heap of trouble that causes, but yes, if it happened, even if it was years away, It would be an interesting concept.

Thats what I was indicating by the AAA games, yes it would, but you gotta remember - Rockstar had like 50+ people working on just the music and radio for the game, and BeamNG team just aren’t capable of that at this point, But keep the idea, i’m sure if it was possible the team would be grateful to have it as a concept idea.

 

This is why I would like to know how to make the inside the car sound effect, to put my own music

 

In ETS2, there´s the possibility to add your music and play that or to get internet radio, so i think it shouldn't be so difficult.

 

I play ETS2 and yeah that is true, but it isn’t realistic - it just overlays the game sounds instead of being authentic.

 

I don't mean the way they do, I was saying that is possible without issues with licenses and so on, so if BeamNG drive has its way to implement the same as in ETS2 but with the inmersion then perfect, no?

 

Yeah I guess so, music licensing is such a pain.
