I seriously cannot make a flat map: This is hard. What am I doing wrong? All I want is a flat map. I should get in contact with the creator of: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?id=albert+park+gp4 Maybe I can port that over.
This map is taking some time and i'm not sure how FPS friendly it will be. But ill show you some images because I love looking at what people are up too and i'd like to contribute. The map shown currently is mostly what it is like in real life. Its quite time consuming and I may not be making it to scale or detailed. With these custom meshes the size increases. I need to make more duplicated meshes that I can place around the place to save size. This is my first real go at a terrain for BeamNG, any advise is welcomed. Thank you. Yeah, I know I need smoothing. I just thought id take it off. Its my own brand, Scoupé. Its called the Urbem.
i think it would look a bit better if you pull the grill and lower bumper forward making it rounder on the front and so that the guards don't go past the bonnet
As of right now, albert park is a flat map with no material. Is there a way to "sculpt" it in game, or do I need to go back to L3DT and completely restart?
For some reason it reminds me of this. This sort of front end is nice. (imported from here) - - - Updated - - - If you're just making the terrain from scratch then yes. If you have details in that terrain that you want from L3DT then no, I don't believe so. You can create the terrain and sculpt it in the editor. Click the terrain tab. If there are not current terrains it will ask you to make one. Click yes and then choose your details. (imported from here)
Guys I need your input here. Should I release the full mud version (shown below) or just the body mud or have a choice between both wheel and tire mud aswell ?
Hey man, read the tutorial in my signature, it covers everything from making the heightmap to road smoothing workflow. I promise it will answer all your questions.
