Help!

so I have downloaded some Russian mods, and with the new update I was wondering. Will it crash my game or delete those mods?
also, some sympathy for banned users, will they get the update with the new updater?

you know what! I was banned! I bought the game and I got got banned for being young...an I need this account to make sure I can get updates. SO tdev or gabester don't ban this account because all I want to konow is...CAN I GET NEW UPDATES WITH THE NEW UPDATER and use Russian mods so tdev or gabester when you ban me... put your answer in the ban bio, oh and I was snicker422 before so yeah just do this and ban me

 

Use the same serial code from your old account, it will still work, a forum ban is just that: a forum ban

No one's going to help you with those mods. Apart from the stolen ones and the ones posted here, 99.9% of them are complete and utter crap. I don't really know why anyone wants to use them. Could you enlighten me?

 

No-one will help you with the Russian mods. They'll work but be just as broken as anything from here after the update, it'll be up to their creators to update them. As for being banned, you can sign in, use, and download the game on your original account, but you cannot post on the forums. At least that's how I understand it works. I'm willing to bet at least in part one of the reasons you got banned was you made a bunch of threads like this that don't really contribute anything and cause controversy to boot, and then admitted your age. I can think of a few members who are under the age limit and publicly admitted so in the forums, but remain unbanned because they established themselves as mature and constructive community members before admitting they were breaking the rules. (FYI the reason for the age restriction is if you're a minor and decide to do something stupid like suicide or a killing spree the forum can be held responsible as a bad influence in court and be sued).

 

I'm pretty sure he was banned for making repeated threads asking what to do if he deleted the updater (in all caps w/ frowny faces I might add).

 

okay I was banned for being under aged and I needed help, im sorry okay, I just needed help also when I use my original account when I go to the download section all it says is "you've been banned, read the TOS" so yeah, but now I cant even admit that I am mature because people will be like "oh, now your admitting you're mature to get back in the forums" but I am really not, and all those times I used all caps was because it was a really urgent issue, I think.

I didn't realize I made two threads, I noticed that after.

 

Message Gabe, one of the mods, or one of the other devs about it, but i doubt they will unban your previous account. Thats about all you can do aside from buying the game again to get a new serial number

 

Your serial number is also in the purchase email and if you contact support although they likely won't unban your account they should be able to recover the serial number for you.

Re-run the updater. Should be a file named update.exe, if its not there then there may be an update.exe.old in which case you simply need to rename it first. It will restore modified vehicles to stock states, so any vehicles which you have modded you will need to backup.

also lets say some person accidentally deleted ALL of their vehicles, including the Gabester cars. If you ran the updater would if give the Gabester cars back?
(this didn't actually happen to me, just a scenario.

 

any game file either modified or missing entirely will be redownloaded so yes
