Cherrier Vivace & Tograc

I'm not sure if this is normal, but when I change the gear ratio (or whatever it is called) of electric motors the top speed doesn't change somehow, in eSBR it was possible. (I didn't try it at the moment though)

 

i have noticed the diesel Vivace/Tograc have a bouncy rev limiter, usually diesels are soft-cut and stop dead at max rpm.

Initial technical observations about the Vivace E:

Battery: We actually got an battery design worthy of a true EV:

50KW/H

75 KW/H


As you can see, they have the same size. But if you look closely you will notice that the 75 KW/H battery has a heavy secret....



Ouch.... that is a lot of mass. On the bright side.... you can really see the benefits of a vehicle chassis created from the beginning with an electric drivetrain and a battery system in mind.... weight distribution stays very similar, maintaining principal handling characteristics even if the 75 KW battery approaches half a ton of weight.

The electric engine is very light, especially for its horsepower and torque rating. Of course, this isnt enough to compensate 405 kg - 470 kg of battery weight and the resulting vehicle will still be notable heavier even when you begin to consider drivetrain and secondary advantages.



This comparsion isnt very fair but it gives you an rough idea of the weight difference between an EV and ICEs.

It is an extremly high quality vehicle both in technical terms as in looks. I could imagine that it costs a bit of additional performance compared to older cars.

 

How do you pronounce "Tograc"??

 

Gotta say, Tograc with Vivace front end looks like something I'd drive if I were into crossovers.

 

Ok, I gotta admit. The Vivace is pretty cool. I'm still not fond of the looks (I'm old school - think Burnside and Bluebuck era) but the handling and performance is a lot of fun! I think I like it!

No shift light? (And no LOL/N2O as others have mentioned. Thumbs up on the new SBR shift light though).

 

There is an option to toggle the lightbar mode for the vivace lightbar (same as for sunburst lightbar), but it doesn't change the frequency at all. And doesn't switch off or change the text in the display. Any plans to change that?

 

I say Tah-grack, but that's probably all sorts of wrong.

 

Whats up with there being no NOS?

 

My guess is that it had something to do with it conflicting with the new driving stuff. Could be wrong but that seems like the most logical explanation considering they wouldn't leave it out if it wasn't causing some type of issue.

Well translate is detecting Tograc as Irish so I'm just like "fck it at this point, I'll call it the Touareg"
Also, Tograc means Proposal in Irish, but the car is French, but the French pronunciation is impossible for me, I don't know what's going on and I'm scared.

 

did they remove launch control on the DCT cars? none of them have it anymore. Is there something I'm missing?

 

I added NOS to the AWD cars. At low speeds the front wheels chirp and judder and they really don't want to accelerate. Also, the engines can only hold about a 25kW boost in power before they blow up.

 

Vivace (green) vs etk 800(dark blue) crash test into wall at 100 mph. Which do you think did better? I think the vivace did worse.
