After that (today) my headset has completely stopped playing sound/ Even if I plug in my Iphone earphones it doesnt work. I've looked through many other forums/websites and I cant find a fix, anyones help is greatly appreciated!

Open the game, go into options, audio settings and change the audio device to your headset output. Hope this helps. :)

If you are plugin them in the front then try them in the back, If they work in the back then there is a faulty connection between your mobo and the front panel. if they still don't work or they are already in the back then check all your audio settings.

Thanks for all the help guys. It turns out for some reason my headset wasn't set to default. Don't know why it changed.

Because Windows just does stuff like that sometimes. I've seen it change power consumption settings and those stupid dialogs asking if you want to change your color scheme.

"Windows appears to be running slowly, do you wish to change color scheme to improve performance?"

    *looks at rig*

    *looks at windows*

"No, and don't remind me again."

    ...

    *2 weeks later*

"Windows appears to be running slowly, do you wish to change color scheme to improve performance?"

    *Browses to C:\*

    *Browses to C:\Windows\*

    *deletes system32 and sysWOW64*

"No, and don't remind me again!"
