Tix was an alternative currency that existed along Robux, it basically helped free users obtain Robux slowly since Tix was easily obtained (as simple as logging in everyday as a daily award) without spending money and could've been converted. It was removed in 2016 due to belief that it was confusing young kids and that bots abused them.

I remembered when Tix was being removed, so many users were upset and made "funeral games" to mourn Tix. Roblox tried to host an event with Tix-themed items to 'celebrate' the removal. They removed Builder's Club months ago and the avatars aren't really blocky anymore.
