That's straight from @Nadeox1 , so it's hard to say. I'm not certain whether or not he's running a shader, but I do know that the team has been tinkering with lighting lately.

Just look at the lightning differences between ETK SUV and Roamer...
That haze on the Roamer pisses me off so bad, I hope the lightning you are talking about is an upgrade like the ETK SUV

And the differences in headlights and reverse are awesome, just look how reverse lights in both cars look... ETK SUV is just perfection lightning-wise

I agree, the lighting in this game can be shitty at times. Look at the windows as well, the light sort of diffuses in them. This game is in desperate need of a good lighting rework.

Then again, there are 20 years between those two, old halogens vs LED. And one is a mod, the other one isn't.

Hope to see rear "barn doors" for the Roamer when it gets an update!

I've owned cars with halogens, and cars with LEDs. And let me tell you, halogens do not work that way. Plus, it's a bit of a shame that a mod is more realistic than what is in-game.

In these pics, Nadeox basically just confirmed a pre-facelift version of the D-Series and something added to the new Pessima.
If you look at the rear bumper of the D-Series/Charro in the pic, it looks way older than the current D-Series. The front fender also seems to be way more flat, but that could just be the angle of the pic.
On the new Pessima, you can see that the grille is body colored instead of chrome, the fenders are more flared out, and the interior carpet matches the rest of the interior, so we may see a Pessima refresh too. That part is really a bit more of speculation though.
It's kind of disappointing that the D-Series doesn't have metal mirrors yet and that there isn't any news on the H-Series refresh, but those could've just not been shown off in these pics.

The bumper is definitely different, but nothing else is. The fenders look the same, and there's still a third brake light, so it can't be that much older of a model. We do, however, get a nice look at the headliner and D10 fender letting (though curiously, nowhere on the truck does it say "Charro").
Is it? It seems pretty concrete that we'll be getting a Pessima refresh. The things pictured here (mesh tweaks and new parts) are standard with the past 2 (or 4 depending on how you look at it) remasters. However, it should be noted that the headlight textures still look the same (read:terrible).

I noticed the headlights look much more detailed than before, with a cutout on the inside. It may just be the lighting, though.

If you play the game in 3840x2160 that's just how the headlights look on the Pessima.
It might still get a refresh though...

Now I'm hoping the tail lights will get touched up on this car. Every time you hit the brakes, it looks like a PS2 texture is put over them.

In this screenshot that I took in the same spot as closely as possible (left), everything is exactly the same. The fenders look the same, even the grille looks grey, but it's actually just because the body colour of the car is almost exactly the same as the not quite-chrome on the grille normally. Original image for comparison. (right)
The only thing that's different is the lighting and the DoF.

yea the excessive light flare that's in 0.18 is really shitty, hope they tone it down for the next update.

Nice job replicating the screenshot. You're right, it's all the same. The new lighting looks much better, though.

Maybe we get new parts for the D-Series? It’s a possibility.

I think it will be quite necessary to have load options in both Pickup and Roamer now that they are being remastered. You can just keep the front seats of the Roamer and you have A LOT of space to store things like boxes or rocks. If that is supported as default, mods will be easier to do. Probably someone puts a metal box of 2000kg and it's too much for the stock suspension, then a new suspension can me modded.

This is more a suggestion that not an speculation but well, my 2c. Sorry staff.

I also think it's quite unfair that vanilla semi trailers have the option for being loaded when spawned but not the small car flatbed, for example.

I'm a person that likes to tow things or have a lot of weight to make the engine suffer, and it pisses me off that you can't fill the trunk of the Roamer or the bed of the Pickup without mods or having to place the objects manually every time you crash, they aren't even fastened to the chasis so they can even fall of break the car body haha, makes cruising a challenge specially in uphill.

If the Pigeon gets remastered, I would like the ability to be open the Pigeon tailgate with the "O" key, like the D-series and H-series. It always sort of bugged me that there was no binding to open the Pigeon tailgate.
