    ※I am Japanese.

Because Japanese is translated into English by machine translation, the sentence may be a little strange.

I think that in order to make this game more realistic, you should prepare a program to operate the ignition manually.

    For example ...

    Flow until engine start

    1. Once the ignition key is pressed, the mode switches from OFF to AC.
    2. Press the ignition key again to switch from AC to ON. (However, the engine will not start unless you press the ignition key for a while.)
2.5. When the ignition key is released from the state of "2", it switches from ON to AC.

    Flow until engine shutdown

    1. Press the ignition key once to switch from AC to OFF.

And nowadays cars have a button-type ignition.
Since there are recent cars in BeamNG, I think that you should use a button-type ignition (that is, use the ignition program used until now in BeamNG) for that car.

Is the specific plan I think.

so basicly you want it so you must press the ignition key twice ( or once depending on how old the car is) to switch it on, then to start it you must hold the key down to start to the car, of which then the ignition returns to the "on" position whilst running, then to turn it off you press the button again

Funny you mention this. A more realistic "ignition" has been suggested many times, but it seems that the devs had the current system hardcoded and its very hard to change, or so i remember hearing. People had suggested things like a "key fob" to replace the button, having to hold it longer for older cars, etc. But apparently it cannot be done. Your suggestion is good tho.

That is about almost exactly the case ! The devs took other priorities first (rightfully) when developing the game and now the files (LUA functions) are indeed hardcoded to an extant that makes it very hard to implement a realistic ignition system. I currently lack the time
to investigate this further but I will in the future. I have been 're-hardcoding' version 0.15 of the game a bit over time and my version
is already partly doing what many of us would like how the ignition acts. I have been dreaming a long time for a car sim to act like
MS Flight Simulator does. The flight sim has it all : battery on/off , pre-heating , fuel pumps, fuel bleeding, magneto starters etc...
Lovely toys for big boys ! :D I agree it deserves more attention but I am aware things can only grow over time. The possibilities are
there but it takes time and people to be willing to work on this to make it happen. :)

Honestly people have no idea how nice a clickable cockpit even is. When i played Take On Helicopters and NetKar Pro i was so happy to see those features to some degree. I was very much dissappointed that Arma 3 and Assetto corsa did not incluide them.

After playing Fernbus/Tourist bus simulator, I too fell in love with clickable interiors. It's a small thing, but it adds so much to a game.
