Hello there! I drive a '94 Mitsubishi Magna SE (I think, got it for free)

(Not my actual car, same model. Mine looks much worse)

It drives like a bus, and the timing need to be redone.

 

My dad has a 94 Magna, and he got his for free too!

1 thing I don't like, the carpet on the dash. Other than that, perfect

 

The last couple of days, my '98 Ford Focus had the weird habit to rev on itself..It's usually when the engine is cold I guess. It only does this at the first stop after swiching into neutral. It revs to 3k-4k rpm wich is really really loud on this car. The only way to stop it is to mash on the cluch until the rpm slowly decreases or if I drive on...Any ideas what could cause this? I can live with it but I don't want it to develop to worse.

 

if it's usually when it's cold outside, then it's most likely the engine trying to heat itself up

 

Would kind of make sense but the weather is nice here. I also did't have this problem in winter.

 

The cold startup rpm's aren't normally that high. My car goes from 750rpm to 1200 when cold.

 

a quick google search of the problem would probably tell you what to look at dude

Don't you have to start those with a handle because of no starting motor?
