I have mostly finished modeling the body components of the car I just need to get them to be smoother and make them so they are not flat. I still have had no luck on trying to make textures for the body.
I ended up remodeling the entire car to get the shape and smoothness of the body and the part to a level i am happy with. I just need to finish modeling the windows, lights, and grills for the front and rear of the car. I also still have not found a way to make textures for the car.
Rear end reminds me of the Mclaren, front is interesting since it reminds me more of the SBR4 than anything else. Cool project
I have completely modeled the entire car and now need help to figure out how to make textures and jbeam files. Pictures from in game are using original bolide textures. I also have no idea on how to reposition the needles for the gauges and the steering wheel they are not in the right positions. I also changed the front bumper to a better shape.
You can reposition the textures using UV editing, move them around before you export out of blender. But I've still not gotten my textures to work in game, I just get chalky orange, not even a "no texture" image.
How do I reposition the textures in blender. Also that is what happened when I loaded the car into game with the front and rear bumper.
This should help also I'm tinking maybe I need to have my .dds in a specific format? could that be the reason I see chalky orange?
That should help. Also I don't know if that is the problem because on mine it's using the original textures in original format. --- Post updated --- I got textures to somewhat show up on the car body but they are on the inside and the outside shows up as invisible.
Ah I had this issue before, you gotta flip the normals in blender on whatever mesh is inverted(wrong side showing in game)
I got textures to somewhat show up on the car body but they are on the inside and the outside shows up as invisible. It shouldn't just need to figure out how to make textures and then make custom jbeam files for the parts. --- Post updated --- oh I see I will try that. where do i go to find that in blender?
if youre on v2.8+ press spacebar in viewport and type flip normals, select it, use the hotkey to flip every mesh u need to. You might not notice any changes in blender, but export it and change should be apparent. You only need to flip each object once. Flipping again will undo
