As far as I know the last time the devs took any suggestions from forum users on a vehicle in development’s characteristics was when someone suggested to Gabester that the I-Series have headlight wipers. I sincerely doubt they’ll take any creative input from any of us on the Wendover.
If you want the "I want this in GTA" middle schoolers to decide what content a physics sim gets, I can't change that. But I for one would prefer to leave that to the devs since they are educated engineers and game designers who know how to show off the physics engine, have an appreciation for things other than click bait crashes, and know what will be best for career mode. I came here for a physics sim and car culture, not a dozen lambo meshslaps like the general population wants.
Would you rather have all the cars in this game be realistic or have all the cars be unrealistic Hot Wheels style kiddie mashups?
I just know of some small things like the Larger Ibishu Trekker wheels. I'm sure things made it in that the devs didn't explicitly say were suggestions though. Looking at how much content the Bluebuck got I'm sure some of it was because of community suggestions.
There was also the one where the Autobello's blinkers iirc were changed due to a whole big discussion over it, but other than that I don't usually see much explicit changes due to community desires.
But there’s no way to know for sure. It’s entirely possible—nay, most likely—that it was all brainstormed by the devs.
BeamNG doesn't seem like a bad jumping-off point for a game of supercars. You would be able to have a never-before-seen in-detail experience of the ultimate in the automotive, and fictional cars allow for cool things that aren't available in reality. Well, the Piccolina already showed that the devs aren't that focused on realism... 1100cc as the base engine in a 50s Italian economy car? The 130 suddenly changing from a luxury to a sport config and leaving a big power gap? Bolt-on wings in something from that period? Also,we have a mix and match car - the SBR4. And it's pretty nice.
I'm not someone who expects cars to be super realistic in BeamNG.Drive, but to answer that question. I would rather have all the cars in BeamNG.Drive be realistic then be unrealistic Hot Wheels style kiddie mashups. By the way, if you could post some pictures of those Hot Wheels cars you were talking about. I would appreciate it =)
well the model for the engine of the Pricolinas is not the fiat 500 but the vw beetle and the base model on beetle has a 1.2 liter 4 cylinder boxer engine so the 50s era fits
I wish he was. I don't think I could ever come up with cars that had that bad of body styles. Those are cars meant for 6 year olds. Sorry if I sound rude. I just think those hot wheel cars are rubbish.
Well, The Vivace and Small Island seem to be confirmed to be in the next update, very nice stuff and all... Also, we now know the the concept list is in the bin but keeping my fingers crossed some might be ''recycled'' but im keeping my fingers crossed. yes i am still in pain of the death of the fulmine. Spoiler: still my hopes and dreams
I know how much you want that Rally Bolide =) To be honest, I actually think that Rally Bolide looks cool as well.
Pretty unlikely, resources are limited and the current systems don't allow for something that meets our requirements for realism. So I'd rather not have it at all than some crappy scripted stuff. You can rest assured that we are very closely watching useful suggestions brought up here, that's the whole point of Early Access
