So I go out and come back to the Cherrier Vivace.

I'm impressed. Not only by the car, mind you, but by the in-depth look at its development that our four devs put out. I've never seen such openness at this stage of vehicle development; why they made the decisions they made, how those are going to affect the final car, the amount of data on what's going to be present in the release. It's unprecedented, and I'd like to note that it certainly seems to have had an effect on how the community responded to the car compared to previous car reveals.

Not only that, but I was able to follow most of what was being said because of how things were explained. That's not normal for me. Usually I get bogged down somewhere in the technical details of how such-and-such a system works in real life, or how something is being simulated in the game. Fabian in particular did an outstanding job of this, not only explaining what the new system was designed to do, but what to look for in the little graphs to see what exactly was the system at work. I often don't understand most of the microblogs on vehicle dynamics and controls because I don't know what any of the information being measured actually means.

Adam also deserves recognition for not only telling but showing how unibodies were and now are being designed, as well as how he went about designing a modern-style unibody with the strength further outboard. This is especially valuable information for anybody working on a modern car mod!

Fortunately, I have a bit of a better grasp on the process behind 3D modelling, but I still want to commend Mitch and Alexandr on providing plenty of information and pictures. I think that those really helped the community get a firm grip on what the Vivace will be like.

In fact, I can only think of one thing left on the Vivace to speculate about:

Are those working turn signals on the mirrors?

Maybe they could be a crossover based on the Vivace

Since we have a new French car company, do you think that maybe there will be older models in the future?

Also the car looks amazing. Can't wait to whip this thing around and crash into a million billion things with it.

Looks like standard chrome to me, but it wouldn't be out of placeā€”a signal might actually make more sense on a mirror than a random chrome strip. Nonetheless, that wouldn't be a first for BeamNG; the Sunburst has mirror signals too.

I really love the aesthetics of this car despite others that are not too keen, I think that it adds a fresh face to Beamng, people have been asking for a true modern car for a long time now, times are a changing :)

I just realised: the Citroen name comes from one of the founder's ancestors, who sold lemons, and got the nickname "citroen" (like Citrus) and Cherrier is like "cherry".
also, the name cherrier is kind of similar to charmand, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same brand concept, only renamed.

Yea, we always set ourselves the limit to only do things a real car can also do. I can't tell if any real car is doing this (these things are closely kept secrets), but they pretty much have to.

    Same here,

When I first saw it I wasn't too keen on the looks, although the more I look at it the more it's growing on me.

No complaints though, aesthetically it's pretty much what I'd expect from a modern French hatchback

New car looks awesome! Looks outlandish compared to the list we have right now but it is definitely a welcomed addition to the list. Hope we get more cars from the Cherrier brand.
Also, the new lighting is fantastic!

Looks-wise, it's probably a grower. I admit I was not a fan of the quirky styling at first, but other than this purely subjective aspect, what can be seen in the devblog is outstanding.

It was a pleasure (also, very informative) to read through the different points of view of the developers working on this vehicle. That's definitely a devblog format I'd love to see more in the future.

Thank you, I'm really looking forward for upcoming new content for the game now! :)
