I just bought a new PC (including new HDDs) and the only game that I have on it so far on it is beamng.Drive as my other games are currently downloading... I am not a huge fan of Beamng.Drive, But ye, The games that are downloading are so large and I am currently so bored... My question is, What should I do in Beamng.Drive when I am so bored (just like right now) and what are the mods that I will have fun messing around with the most?
Well, how is driving around so fun without any action? My PC specs are: -i5-4590 8 GB RAM Dual channel XFX RX 570 Are these specs enough for the map?
Just screw around. Make your own fun. Launch cars out of a cannon. Do whatever you want. Not everything fun should be structured.
If you don't like driving that much then why did you get a game that focuses heavily on driving and crashing... well if you are that bored then try running over several weak and rusted out cars with the T series, or try racing with the pigeon against other pigeons, or crushing something that is far to big for cube crusher thing always produces interesting outcomes. Hope that helps
Yes, 3 or 4 vehicles on either Los Injurus or Roane County. I would stay at 3 vehicles including yours to keep fps most consistent as otherwise you'll fight background Windows processes and hitch up a bit. Roane County maxes at 4gb of VRAM use and 6GB of system RAM use. If you have a 3gb~4gb video card, use medium texture detail on Los Injurus, otherwise you'll have <20fps. You might even be able to run basic reflections on that card (my rx 480 8gb card could). Processor should last another year or two with the gaming market, just mind system requirements before purchasing large intensive games. Video card should hold you over another year or two. Shadows are run on the CPU so toggle those to player only if FPS is too low with a desired amount of traffic in play (choose full shadows, or an extra vehicle or two with player only shadows, depending on the map). 8gb of RAM is considered a minimum for a gaming machine these days, and used ram is cheap, but 8gb should always be enough for you and a few traffic cars in BeamNG. The absolute max traffic you can run with that is 5~7 vehicles depending on how intensive the map is. If not picky about details, your video card and processor should hold you at-least 2 years, maybe more depending on how developers improve games for the new line of consoles due out within a year. Bored? Haul some pianos around on your favorite map. You can use the F1 object editor inside the F11 map editor after spawning some pianos and a truck, to place them in the truck with physics paused, then when you're done, don't save changes just go back to the game by hitting f11 again. Then proceed to drive around, and enjoy the commotion. Use SHIFT+R to reset the whole truck when needed. Might want to customize the truck with a better engine, transmission, turbo, and radiator 1st or it will be SLOW.
Go to Industrial Site, Derby Arenas, or any map good for demolition derbies Spawn at least 3 or 4 cars in the arena (make sure they're spread out first) Set other cars to Chase Me Have Fun
It all depends on the controller you use, I have a FFB wheel and just driving around is great fun, just doing stuff on the road you wouldn't usually do with your car, such as taking each gear to redline on a tight cliffside road on utah, or have some dirt road fun in a grand marshal, or blast around Italy with a Bolide 350, or even go rock crawling with a D-series, Roamer, H-series or Hopper. Experiment and have fun with vehicles, thats basically what this game is all about tbh.
In the last few days I like trying to beat my time over & over again on B25Mitch's map (forgot the name). One of the more fun cars is the V6 Pessima with the only modification being slicks instead of normal tires
Well it seems like this game may not be 100% a match, I never grow bored of it, I play GTA a bit. But beamng is my main Game. I don't know why. But forget the world, Its you and any car the game has. Pretend its real life and live for the passion of cars
If only life was that easy, I wonder what will happen to us leadheads once petrol is fazed out in a few decades
If you are bored, try to make cars with vanilla parts that make the least amount of sense. Like an offroad bolide or something.
