Haha, I'm gonna fit LEDs, a silvia or skyline body and new wheels. I'll also probably do a countersteer setup one day. I'm also gonna get a new pro line flo-tek body for the truck and extra grippy bash wheels. I'll also probably get a new esc that is waterproof.

I have a DAGU rover 5 chassis which was previously wired up and programmed for infrared control using the remote from one of those absolutely tiny remote control cars. Does that count?

From my phone I can't do much more than drop the link to my LMR post on it. http://letsmakerobots.com/node/39768

I've got a Traxxas Raptor, though I haven't driven it for several months. Last fall the engine gave out on me, and I haven't bothered to buy a new one. I've had it a few years now, so it's got some battle scars. I also have an Exceed Rally Monster, which is being weird. It's not very good anyway because the ESC seems to only acknowledge no throttle, 90% throttle, and full throttle. And occasionally reverse. I also have a few RC planes and helicopters. My $50 foamie Spitfire hasn't flown for years because the wing broke off and the controls for the ailerons aren't provided in the replacement kit. I also have a huge Mustang (probably 3-4 ft. wingspan) which has a ruined engine because the previous owner crashed it. Everything else is mostly fine, but a new engines $100, and my brother and I are too terrified to fly it because we'll likely crash it.

One year for christmas or something, I got this rc coastgurad boat.
Its a model of a pretty big boat. About the size of a destroyer. But the model is probably...2 feet long. But it is only like 4 inches wide, and it was tall, it had all these big radio antenna structures coming off the top of it. I couldn't use it if it was too windy because the wind would blow it over.
Well the first one I got fucked up somehow, I think one of the 2 propeller motors stopped working for some reason. Bought another one. It took them like 2 months to get it to me. It got put on a back order or something. Anyway that one encountered the same problem as the other one, but this time my dad decided he would try to fix it. Lets just say its only for display now. :p
I do have this pretty cool speedboat thing. Goes really fast.
We also have 2 big rc cars. The good ones. Ones got a mustang body on it and the other one some sort of audi.
When we got the one with the mustang body on it, it had some really beat up rally car body on it. I think it was a mitsubishi. Idk but we made the mustang body ourselfs. Well we painted it.

I have 3 R/C cars. A 1/10th Exceed RC Rally Monster electric, a 1/8th Exceed RC MadBash Nitro, and a 1/14th Nyko beginner car from the early 90's.

I started about a year ago with the Rally Monster, it was amazing for a beginner level truck. Extremely fast, incredibly agile, amazing handling. The only thing that went wrong with it was due to my ambition for it to last longer. Went online and bought a 3 cell LiPo, slapped it in and ran it. Later that day I drove it down my road, I heard a pop and saw smoke, the battery had exploded. The car later took a plunge down a large gravel hill, snapping the suspension, bending the shocks, and damaging the frame.

Last X-mas I bought the MadBash, a nitro, all aluminum variant of the Rally Monster. The MadBash is better than what it's priced at($299).

About that Nyko car, I bought it at a garage sale, came with a really cool motor called "The Slot Machine."

I too have been interested in the Axial SCX10. I really like the idea of scale rock crawling, especially after following RcSparks. I live close to a lot of wooded areas that would make the perfect RC playground. There are a lot of guys who run these things at my local hobby shop. I really like how customizeable they are, there are some guys who have upgraded there SCX10's so much the only thing original is the frame (some guys will even upgrade that). :p Unfortunately they are kind of pricey, I would rather spend the $400 plus price of batter, charger and upgrade parts on my real car. My local hobby shop started carrying Axial products and upgrade parts for them last year. However they are way overpriced and the store refuses to mach prices (thats a really bad business plan). Someday though I will get one, every now and then a decent used one will come up for a reasonable price.

Only reasons for that happening are overcharging, electrical short or severe water exposure. I take it you used a LiPo charger (NiMH chargers are not just unsuitable but incredibly dangerous for charging LiPo's) and gave all the wiring a once over beforehand?

My local hobby store only stock Helion cars or will order in a few additional models at cost. But if I am ordering in at additional cost then I might aswell go online. The only thing they have of interest to me is selling nitro fuel. They also offer nitro break in, do that myself and possibly get a mate to offer guidance on that (or google) rather than paying them exorbitant fees thanks, and again they will mix unleaded with 2 stroke oil for you because that is so hard....

I had a petrol r/c trophy truck type thing years ago, it could easily do 40mph through a rough field.

Used the correct charger and checked the wiring. The battery itself came to me sort-of bulged out and I could just barely see the inside from the seem. Thought nothing of it because I got it on sale, and I was getting the MadBash later that month.

Shit happens I guess, the whole car is just a display now, took so much damage that I'd have to replace nearly everything on it.

Never even touch a bulged lipo, they have already suffered internal damage.

I`m getting a new transmitter for my Tamiya DB01 and I was wondering if it was possible to use SmarPropoPlus and VJoy to control Drive, just as an experiment.
