There’s a market for BeamNG on console, and next gen consoles could likely handle the physics and graphics. The game isn’t even finished yet, though- and it’d be simply too expensive to get Beam onto consoles anyway.
I really hope it can possibly run Beamng because its almost like a gaming PC that connects to your TV Yes it may be a bit slower But im tired of my slow laptop and you may be asking "Wait how will I get mods" Well you can possibly run the Repo in the menu to download mods from the official Beamng website like say I want the Sunburst wagon mod I just click download. But I see it cant run beamng. and it might never run till the Xbox Series X. --- Post updated --- I wanna say yes but at the same time no but if it has enough processing power like a Gaming PC It might just work if its CPU is a Intel Quad Core I7 and the GPU was possibly a NIVIDA Graphics card and more than 8GBs of ram then it might be able to work! I hope Microsoft does because I really want to play Beamng on the go with their new streaming service coming soon.
No, it can't run on the Series X. Even if the console has a good cpu and gpu, it won't have nearly as much power as a pc. The console has a strict power limit(300 watts I think) and gets extremely hot, limiting performance. BeamNG would also have to be capable of running on the Xbox's software, which shouldn't be hard to do, but the devs have better things to do that to make a console-compatible version of the game.
I agree with you, even if the hardware is powerful enough to run beamng, you will need to almost entirely rewrite the game code to make it work. For example take a look to terraria, Re-Logic created/bought (i don't really know) a game studio for each support and it isn't even finished.
seeing that my old PC with a 750ti and a now 14 year old Cpu (intel core 2 duo 6600) was able to run beam at 20 fps i see no problem as to why a console with way more power shouldnt be able to run it.
A huge rumor surfaced recently regarding Xbox Series X, one that might bring mayhem to the imminent console war. According to this rumor, the Xbox Series X will include a Windows mode that will let you use PC applications like Steam and the Epic Store. Neat?
Heh, yeah... I can see it now... "Hey, you want to play this perfectly compatible game that you already own? Cool cool... well now since we don't have to make you buy the Xbox version, you have to pay a compatibility fee... what's that you say? It already is compatible? Yeah, that's because we let it be compatible... now pay up."
That make's no sense. There not going to come out with something like that then make you pay for it on a console you already own. If that's what your saying
How would they even make microtransactions for a windows bootcamp? EDIT: I guess a subscription service is a good possibility. Or high up front cost. Or what ATV said.
Ya it's called xbox game pass. They wouldn't make the PC bootcamp into a subscription itself just the games.
I highly doubt it. If it does utilize window's you would be able to use it like a computer and if you want game's I'd imagine they'll incorporate xbox game pass subscriptions into it somehow. Their wouldn't be compatibility fee's for hardware they own and design themselves.
I looked up the Series X Windows Mode thing. I found a "CCN Gaming News" article, which cited an Italian gaming news article, which cited a Spanish gaming news site but didn't provide a link. I couldn't find the specific article. That makes me highly doubt the validity of these rumors.
