So, after looking through the ECA and Hirochi art files (mostly in the shapes sections), I found these things that either will be featuring in Firwood, getting a mention, or are just world-building info. I have included where these are located, so that you can verify that these are real. New Brand: Eco-Splash (portable lavatories/toiletries) (Hirochi Raceway > Art_V2 > Shapes > Objects > Toilet_d) (will get a mention) From this giant pile of shop signs (East Coast USA > Art_V2 > Shapes > Clutter or Buildings > eca_bld_shop_opaque_decoration_d)... New Person: Micheal Austin (likely a country singer) (probably will not get a mention) Whalewatching is an event in Firwood (probably will get a mention) New Shops: Seamless Shop, Beat Wave Store (no idea where these are located in ECA the map) (likely will get a mention) From this shop decoration file (East Coast USA > Art_V2 > Shapes > Buildings > eca_bld_shop_window_decoration_d)... Confirmation that Portland, Maine, as well as Washington/Oregon, exist in the Beamverse (outlined in red) (Portland probably will get a mention, but Washington/Oregon will probably not get a mention) Some of these are probably very minor, but they're nice world-building details.
Not a book, but...I'll have to consider the scenario pack. There's a few races that could definitely work as scenarios, such as the Chapter 6 gravity race (which works well for the AI) or the Chapter 11 race (which probably doesn't work well for the AI). I will admit that there will probably be some custom skins made by me and Rusty for Firwood - not going to show any of them yet, but just know that there'll be some more modding to the vehicles than in Selva.

So...it's official. After more than two years, we have finally completed this massive story. Thanks to @YellowRusty, the epilogue for Green Ghost of Selva Rocosa has been finished. Here's the first preview: Also, I've been ill recently and busy with school, so progress on Firwood has slowed somewhat. I hope to get back onto writing next week, though.

People, hi! Yes, it's me. I am The Driftin' Covet. Your resident keyboard scrublord, part-time novelist, realism rambler, NFM modder, etc. With the completion of BeamNG's first fanfiction novel, Green Ghost of Selva Rocosa, @YellowRusty and I have officially completed one of my/our life goals. It's taken us 28 months to complete it (including a year-long hiatus), but it's done. It's finished. At least...for now. (I may be going back and revising the first three chapters later; this is not a guarantee, though.) I'm...honestly amazed that people cared so much about my old story. Why, this whole story started when I casually mentioned in this drivel in the Dreams thread that I had written some old story for a school project. @YellowRusty decided to ask to read it...and we've gone from a ~7,500-word info-dump to a full-fledged novel in a little over two years. That's incredible for just a couple people working in their spare time. I...don't really know what else to say, so as a parting shot, I'd just like to say thanks to all the people who let my use their stuff for this story. Alright, well, I hadn't planned a speech, but I really do want to say that as much as DriftinCovet seems to want to give me a large chunk of the credit for writing this, 95% of this is all theirs. I was just the editor. From the concept, to all of the characters, to the actual work of rolling up sleeves and cranking out chapters (seriously - I wish I could write at half the rate DC does), just about every word you see in the final product was chosen by him. All I did was make suggestions (and occasionally set us back on a yearlong hiatus). Speaking of those words, our final count stands at exactly 65,270 according to Microsoft Word. That's surprisingly close to my initial estimate of twelve 5400-word chapters, though the final count does include both the prologue and epilogue. It's also a handy size - readable in a day if uninterrupted, a week if only for an hour or two per day.
