( Oops, sorry for the long reply.)
" About 25 minutes or so" I say as we enter city limits. The truck is holding up just fine, with the temperature gage sitting at just over the middle mark.

With some more driving, and watching eagerly for the exit. We eventually get off the freeway and make our way towards the salvage yard, where the auction is being held. When we arrive, I park the truck and me and Denis start to look around. That's when I spot a 2018 ETK Kc6tx, with a rare manual transmission, and "Flame Orange" color option. it's been hit hard for sure but the engine still turns and the suspension isn't too badly damaged, Not a bad contender at all.

I decided to meet up with Dennis since we split up a while back, I catch him browsing through a dozen of Pessima's with various amount of damage. I then ask him while we start walking to the auction house if he had found anything good so far.

ETK's are a pain to work on. I suggest you get that green Pessima.

Works been boring as always. I seem to be doing really well though, I might get promoted soon. I’m also thinking of getting a project car.

I had bought the orange ETK that had the rare manual option. And Dennis bought a newer V6 Pessima for his project. I rented a trailer and got both of our cars onto it before leaving for Utah, where I could also drop off the trailer so I didn't have to drive back.

I've since dropped Dennis off at his home, and parked my truck in the hangar. I plan to disassemble the ETK tomorrow after I get off of work, and schedule a visit to a local framework shop that can re-align the car's front end to factory spec.

    *SKRRRRRR THUNK*
Not something you want to hear while eating at a local restaurant.
Turns out a moron in an ETK (of course) rear-ended me while I was eating. Luckily no damage except cracked tailight cover and bumper.
I swear I will put pillows around my already beat-up LeGran next time I park on the street.

So a little bit of an update:
I flew out to ECA last minute to surprise my family for the holidays. When I got back to Utah, I began repair work on the damaged Hopper. That spiraled out of control and led to a total revamp. It ended up pretty nice though, and should be a more simple and reliable wheeler than the D25.
    screenshot_2020-01-07_23-29-32.png
I was already planning on scrapping the shitbox Grand Marshal and therefore unregistered and uninsured it, but I now want to pull the engine before I ditch the car. It's 4.5L V8 will eventually reside in the Hopper to replace the under powered 4.0L.
    screenshot_2020-01-07_23-34-29.png
The D25 has stayed pretty much the same over my break (however the color has changed, although let's pretend that it was like that from the beginning :p).

So, I yanked the engine and tranny out of the Grand Marshal this morning.
    screenshot_2020-01-08_22-47-31.png
While the rest of the car is trashed by corrosion, the engine itself seems to be easily salvageable, with the exception of all of the rusty accessories.
    screenshot_2020-01-08_22-45-48.png
I have no intentions of using the 4-speed auto from the Grand Marshal in the Hopper, since there's a company who makes a conversion kit that allows a Gavril modular motor to bolt up to the Hopper 5-speed trans. I don't even feel comfortable trying to sell the Grand Marshal trans though, because that mf'er slips like you couldn't imagine on the 1-2 shift, but if someone wants it for parts or something, let me know.

I then rented a D-series and trailer, which made me realize how much we actually needed to invest in a shop truck (coming soon). I loaded up the Grand Marshal and took it straight to the local pick-n-pull yard.

After having to rent a truck yesterday, I've been searching for one for sale nearly nonstop since then. I found a D35 dually for sale on Gabeslist and went to check it out with the Barstow.
    screenshot_2020-01-09_20-09-52.png
When I arrived, I could already tell that I wasn't going to be very interested in it, for multiple reasons.
    screenshot_2020-01-09_20-30-24.png
It was pretty beat up, and the wiring appeared to be a mess, as the aux. lights were cobbled onto the truck. If I hadn't already made up my mind, the cab of the truck reeked of cigarette smoke, which is a hard no for he.
    screenshot_2020-01-09_20-30-31.png
I made my way home in the Barstow and took in the scenic views and fun driving roads on the way back.
    screenshot_2020-01-09_20-32-57.png
The next morning, I found a new posting on Gabeslist and made a purchase, admittedly more than I wanted to spend, but I was able to pick up a D35-ish single rear wheel truck and a 2-car gooseneck trailer for $20,000, which I was able to recuperate $8,500 of that cost by selling the baja Piccolina.
    screenshot_2020-01-09_21-12-55.png
This truck is also a little rough around the edges, but has the 6.0L diesel and a 5 speed trans. It's only a 2WD truck, but that's all it really needs to be for its purpose. There are a couple things I want to do to it, but overall it's pretty solid.

Got to work on the ETK after I came home from work. It needs a new fender, hood, headlight, some random engine bay plastic coverings, along with fixing the frame on the car and the front bumper. I've since removed most of the damaged parts and getting the car ready for some frame work. The car should be ready in a few days, along with some new parts / upgrades. Thankfully all of the airbags and seatbelts still work and haven't been deployed / tightened.

In other news, I've been secretly fixing the abandoned Moonhawk behind the scenes with some help for turning it into a full on dragster. I have so far shelled out about 6 grand on the paint job, parts, brakes, and the suspension alone excluding any other parts. I'm still waiting on some tires and rims to come in along with a newly built crate engine, transmission, and differential combo that will hopefully help kick ass out both on the streets and track reliably.

I’ve just gotten a promotion. After my boss took a bunch of money and left, we needed a new one. My performance was very high, so despite being new, I was chosen to be the new boss. The cops are still searching for the old boss, but have no idea where he went. Anyway, the one problem is that I have to get to Belasco city, California to get everything set up, as that’s where the company owners are. I would take a plane, but there aren’t really any flights there. I guess that means I have to go on a cross country road trip.

My parts for the Hopper V8 conversion came in today. I went ahead and pulled the front clip off of it and yanked the engine and transmission out.
    screenshot_2020-01-12_14-33-53.png
After I had separated the Hopper's trans from the 4.0L and bolted it up to the new 4.5L V8 with the adapter plate I ordered, I put the swap kit motor mounts on the engine and dropped it into the Hopper's frame.
    screenshot_2020-01-12_14-34-57.png
I hooked up the new engine wiring harness that came in the conversion kit and tied up some loose ends before I test fired the engine without anything hooked up. After the engine ran fine for a few seconds and went into gear alright, I shut it off since I was running it without a radiator. I then reassembled the front clip, filled the cooling system with antifreeze, changed the oil on the engine, and modified the factory exhaust for the V8 exhaust manifolds. I drove it out to the "testing rock" and while I'll miss the simple reliability of the 4.0 liter, the extra torque is drastically better.
    screenshot_2020-01-12_14-40-17.png
I also mounted a CB antenna to the hood since I hadn't done so yet and my CB radio was useless without it.

Right now I'm on the highway. I'm getting flashbacks of the Utah trip with no AC. I might buy a new car before I get back to Firwood.
