Good heavens! When did this open back up?
Happy Christmas and new year guys. Now we are back to our regularly scheduled programming.

I do agree with the idea of the new brand being French. There is something about that design that screams Baguette, Vive La France, and We Surrender among other weird and possibly racist ideas(jk) However, as it is usual with cars in Beamng, it is impossible to pinpoint the nationality of a car on a single country, as devs take cues from cars of that general area (For example the I Series has some Volvo, even if it is a german car)

 

The truth is that all devs are bots programmed by Tdev

It seems that the new car coming out has really taken some attention away from career mode. While browsing through the files and going into the (BeamNG.drive > lua > ge > extensions > campaign) folder, I noticed that there was a file called "dealer.lua" added in the most recent update, along with plenty of other files. This could possibly mean that career mode's dealership system is being worked on, meaning that career mode may be coming soon.

 

That could be the case, but remember the tow truck bed mesh that was in the game files for several years without ever being used and was removed recently.

 

Speaking of weird things in the files, apparently, there's a human in the Italy files. They look like this.

 

I should imagine it was used as a height reference when they were working on Italy, to make sure things were a believable scale.
Given that it's name is human_scale_190.dae

 

That's a really realistic human!

Hrmmm. im still rooting for the bolide, the plastic pessima, or the moonhawk to be next in line for a big rework.

 

As far as my thoughts on this new modern car go, I'm glad that the devs showed proof that there is a new modern car coming to the game soon by making that teaser video. I don't think that this car is that pretty to look at and it does look a bit uglier then I'd like it to be, but I think it does have a unique body style. I also think it would be a good crashing vehicle.

Anyways those are my thoughts on this new modern car. I hope the devs will make this modern car a reliable vehicle.

Ok with the new car here's what I think it will be from what I have seen from it so far and from what is been said by you guys and gals, and some speculation from myself.

1. it's obviously a current model car by the design.
2. It's obviously a hatchback.
3. Could have an option for a Crossover variant which is fairly common today.
4. European most likely.
5. Could have a hot hatch variant maybe a sorta Ken Block Gymkana variant aswell.
6. A Police car variant would be a viable option also we lack Euro police cars.
